That was even more impressive than his first victory. Franklin just seemed completely caught off guard in the first fight, so you could almost rationalize it. Assuming he knew better this time around, and trained accordingly, it's amazing that Silva's second victory was arguably even more dominant even if it was longer. He looked like a dad goofing around with his kid, tapping him on the head, the stomach, the leg, Franklin always a step behind.
The Veira fight was disappointing. I expected more from him. I definitely don't see him as an elite heavyweight now. Silvia looked like a ****** out there. You could see he was thinking, about to throw a punch, or thinking about it at least, and then so slow to getting around to it frequently abandoning a strike or move halfway in because Brandon had already moved. Terrible. The Karlovic of MMA.

Yeah, Nog is amazing. Wikipedia says the fight is scheduled and it links to a UFC 79 Wiki site, but on that site it doesn't even have him listed as fighting. So I'm not sure, but I'd like to see it happen.
On the preview it said that Anderson Silva trains with the Nog twins. I can see how he got so good!

Nog v Kongo would be easy money, we've already seen Kongos ground game and he looks like a fish out of water. The Silva fight was awesome, I loved the epic dancing in the 2nd round. Sucks for Rich, all he got out of fighting Anderson is 2 broken noses.

Not to be c#$k, but considering how the past year's been, I could see a novice MMA fan really doing good with all the upsets and all. Better than people who "know" their MMA. It's been a crazy year.

Wow - I didn't know there were so many MMA fans on here. Silva's strikes are a joke. I am not sure anyone can hang with him. His fight with Chris Leben was an eye opener. He been rocked in fights before, but Silva smoked him. Silva is a closer, as soon as he sees your a little rocked, he grabs the back of your neck and punishes you.
On another note, Tim Silvia v. Branda Vera was the most boring fight I have ever seen in the UFC. Tim won that fight because of the last 30 seconds and because he rested his 260 lb. frame on Vera the entire fight. That fight sucked! And so does Joe Rogan for saying it was a great showing for Tim.

Even so, whats the big deal? Its only for fun. Also the ranking is on a per event basis, its not an accumulated total from previous events. Why dont you join? We can start a Talk Tennis UFC league.
