Court hire is fine - whatever is required we'll pay, and since we're the guests we'll bring the balls.

Wantirna TC is out in the middle of the sticks. Approximately 1hr 45mins traveling time via public transport from anywhere.
Dendy Park TC on the other hand is easy to access. Especially if coming from the Melbourne Park. Just catch the frankston line from richmond station to moorabbin station, get off and walk for 10mins along nepean highway past south rd and patterson. Can"t miss hit the courts or wall.

dendy park is about 2+ hours away from me
im coming from wantirna. need to take a bus to either mitcham or glen waverley which is about 20-30 minutes, take the train to richmond, another 45-50 minutes, take the train to moorabin, another 30-40 minutes on the train, then walk to dendy which you say is about 10 minutes. all that to go to dendy and back home is more time than i'll be actually playing tennis for. if i can get someone to drive me there than i'll be there, but right now it looks unlikely.

Going to Aussie Open Monday/Tuesday. Going out on Sunday night for my friends 19th so look out for the tired grumpy teenager.
BTW, what are we all planning to wear on Friday? Just so we are colour coordinated

i'm not sure where all of the players are staying, but i know that some of the players like to come down and stay in crown casino. andy roddick, james blake and sharapova have been known to stay in the crown towers and then go down and play a bit of poker in the gambling area. check it out:

Thanks for the detailed info Duzz. I'll be there, though I'll (now) have to confirm with regard to my mates. One now is going to the tennis friday, and may not wanna leave at 4:30 to play at 5:30, and the other was the one who was iffy to start with. I'll let you know ASAP.

Major setback today
Pulled out my n6.1 95 and played 2 games until I snapped a string. Might have to borrow an n90 just for tomorrow's hit. Excuse me if I play like Federer.
That's no problem.... I snapped my RDX and so will be playing with a mate's pure drive. I doubt I'll play like anyone but some balls will definitely see the back fence, and possibly without bouncing

The showdown.
The resulting games we played were all pretty much even. We each had lead/chances against each other and blew them. Quite funny and somewhat frustrating.
Duzza has one nice serve action and i must have seen four or five "190" kph aces whizz past before i blocked a few back at his feet. Nice smooth topspin groundstrokes when feet are set. I'm certain when duzzas on song not many would touch his serves or groundies. A class above my hack shots.
Was a new surface for OO. He has big say goodnight forehand when setup. Started using net, slices and dropshots well. Little bit of service jump out to my backhand was troubling my slice returns long.
Great to finally get a chance to hit and just fcking run run run. Good pusher workout.

hey, i just arrived home from aussie. we stayed at the crown towers for 2 nights as they were pretty booked. guess what? on the first night we were there james blake hopped into the elevator next to us!!! haha you were right

yeah i'm 17 so next year is going to be a ball at the casino! he was with his kids and didn't look like he wanted to be disturbed so i didn't say anything, damn we stayed at the grand hyatt at the start for a night and didn't see anyone (apart from some 1.3 million dollar car parked outside). i probabaly wouldn't have noticed tsonga at the start of the tournament. haha
