Is the Donnay really easier to swing? I have 2 4 stripe pog OS's and they are 12.2 and 12.3 oz with leather and overgrip. they are also about 9 pts headlight (at least as I meaure them). I have a donnay pro int mp and it is exactly 12.2 and 6 pt headlight (as I measure) and swings a little heavier to me. My point is that the Donnay OS says it has a swingweight of 318 but it has almost same weight and balance as the mp. Not saying I don't like the mp, I am hitting with it today for kicks but If the Donnay OS was slightly lighter, I would probably get one just to have for fun as an alternative to my prince POG 4 stripe. I just don't want to get one if they are almost Identical. Has anyone played with both the POG OS and a Donnay OS that can really tell a difference?
Hi Mark
I currently play with the 4 striped POG OS and been forthe last 10 years. I also just got some demo's which included the Donnay OS. Just from observations I decided not to even waste my time, because if the following.
1. The grip shape is slightly diifferent than my POG, I won't say it is as awk word as a Head Grip Shape, but it diffenetly not as round and full in my hand as my POG.
2. Grip length, it is very short for a baseline racquet for someone who has a
2HBH.
3. Poor quality grommets, the demo I have has some grommets in the racquet that are short and stretched and some of the of the strings coming out of some of these grommets are so close drill holes of the frame, it wouldn't surprise me if someone pops some strings at the grommot due to the sharp edges of the drill holes that the grommot comes out of.
Maybe I am to crital but, those things are enough for me not to even give the frame a chance.
