Another Donnay ???

Hey folks - new to the board -

I'm a POG OS user who'd like to find a MP frame that has a similar old-school feel, weight, etc to the POG OS wrapped up in a 93-98 sq/inch head. Is the new Donnay pro 1 MP this racquet? I really like the POG and have played it for 20 years. As with any racquet, I've made peace with it's strengths and weaknesses, but I'd like to see if I can find something similar in a MP. I've tried a 33 m-fil and it's a decent racquet playability-wise, but I can't get used to the feel/response. Likewise with the TT warrior MP. Is the Donnay worth a try?
Thanks

I switched from the POG OS to the Flexpoint Radical Tour MP. Similiar weight, string pattern, great control and feel...I have been happy with the move.

The Donnay is a beautiful, smooth, velvety hit. It also have some nice pop for its flexibiltiy. You should definitely give it a demo if you are able. And at the price, just buy one even it you can't demo. You will like it, even if you decide it is not your perfect racquet. But to me, I felt that the Donnay seemed more 90ish feeling in the headsize than 95. Maybe because it felt so good on the 1HBH - but that could be a factor for you coming from an OS.

Give it a go. It's a great racquet.

You won't be disappointed with the Donnay Pro One Midplus. I just switched to this frame from the POG mid. It plays a lot more flexible than the POG which is stiff. The Donnay is also less headlight and is more stable on groundstrokes. I had to lead up my POG mids with five inches of 1/4 inch tape at the 3 and 9 positions to get enough stability. I really liked the open pattern of the POG but the Donnay is open as well and spin is just as good on kick serves and slices. I have four of them and have found my permanent frame.

i used the POG but found it too heavy.....i am currently using the tecnifibre 320 (16x20)...i find it to be a very good racquet and is similar minus the weight....you should demo one of those....

Simple hit with the Avery M3 ...... feels like , but improves on every aspect of the POG.

I thought the Donnay was a little head-heavy, but it did have a great feel to it.

If you can find one, you might try the Gamma G325 ..... great feel, great control, nice balance and swingweight. The Bird had them for a very good price as recently as last week, but they are getting scarace.

I appreciate the replies. I'm a NTRP 4.5 with a one-handed BH and semi-western FH who plays an all-court game. Nothing fancy by any means, but reasonably solid, for an old guy anyway.
I like the comment about the pro 1 playing like a mid despite it's 95 specs. I like a mid's feel (although not the POG mid - too stiff for me) and touch, but I think that I'd transition more smoothly to a MP. My shoulder has some miles on it, so I hope that the Donnay plays soft - I imagine it might given it's flex, but please weigh-in firsthand if you know differently. Again, many thanks for the feedback!
