Who knows, he'll want to hit it like in Dubai, you can't have your best tennis everyday, Roddick said he had not played that well for 2 years (Dubai), so its doubtful he'll reproduce that form if its a once every two years thing, theres also a good chance grass is actually slower than Dubai
Flat shots are still effective though. Roddick if he plays like he did in Dubai has a real shot of winning Wimbledon. If Federer continues to play poorly, I would nominate Nadal and Roddick to be favorites at Wimbledon.
actually, he said in a couple of interviews after his loss to Kohlschreiber that he was going to have to strat hitting his forehand again.
After his victory over Djoker, he said that he was going to back to his old way of playing he siad something like,:Yeah, I haven't played this well in about 2 years, and, y'know I was really hitting my forehand today and getting it done with my forehand, and, y'know, that's the way I used to play and maybe...'
So, maybe he's finally figured it out, Blast it on fast surfaces, push on clay.

Ironically, Roddick lost the match and the tournament.
I would give Roddick the upper hand as we saw against Mahut that Roddick can't return 14mph serves on grass.

Roddick with a huge serve and huge forehand would beat Nadal at Queens. Queens is the only true grass tournament right now. His netgame has improved drastically, and I truly do like his chances of winning Wimbledon if he is healthy and sticks to his power game.

Why must Roddick play the same way against every opponent?
I am not saying he is doing the right thing or the wrong thing about Fish, but I have seen Roddick very clearly change his tactics and his stategy for different opponents more than almost any other player I can think of. Call me crazy, but I think he can be very interesting to watch.
With all of that said, I do wish he would go for broke more often...

You have to understand, Roddick won Dubai beating both Nadal and Djokovic with his big hitting game. All of a sudden he reverts to his topspin forehand and starts losing. HRM, I WONDER WHAT WAS THE DIFFERENCE?

It's not that hard to figure out. It's confidence. He goes into spinny mode when he doesn't feel the forehand is totally there. He'll go flat when he feels like he knows his range.
He knows he can beat any other player on faster surfaces. I'd love to see him take Wimbledon this year, but it's doubtful he can be consistent enough over 7 5-set matches.

Funny comments considering he lost that particular match in straight sets. So he really will win Wimbledon playing the same tennis that he lost in straight sets in the semifinal a full 5 years ago with.
