Federer is really some kind of "love/hate thing" for me.
For one thing I really like to watch how great he plays, for another thing his success really makes tennis boring for me...
Some of you will probably say that he wasn't so successful this year, but let's be honest, a GS semi-final, three GS finals including one victory and an olympic gold medal is not exactly what you call a bad year. In fact it's something that most players dream of.
I would be happy if this endless victories of Federer - and Nadal lately - would finally stop. I want to see different faces in the finals, different winners, like the Australian Open this year but with Federer kicked out in rounds one to three.
I don't really care how many Grand Slams Federer will win in the future. Let him have 20 until he retires and it'll be fine with me. I just want to have some more variety. The way it is, I really can't stand watching any more Federer victories and it'll be the same with Nadal if he keeps on winning and winning.
I'm sure some will agree, others will disagree and some idiots will not read this and make a "what else to expect from a guy called Sampras" reply instead (Becker is my favourite player by the way, not Sampras). Just keep it nice and clean. This is just my opinion and you are free to post yours. I'd be happy to see that I'm not the only one who thinks that way
