String Durability problem

I'm a 5.0 player, 15 years old, and i have a heavy kick serve, and really heavy forehand and backhand. The problem is that i am breaking luxilon big banger alu power every 2 to 2 and 1/2 hours. What else should i try?

sounds like your just a damn fast string breaker. maybe some string breakers or a cheaper string?

5.0 15 year old? OK, if you really are, then try Kevlar.

Also try stringing higher. You string at 50 lbs, so your strings are going to be shifting around more than if they were tighter. This causes faster breakage. Normally, I wouldn't recommend stringing Big Banger tighter, but 50 lbs is pretty loose.

ill try that. the reason i have been stringing pretty loose is i have mild T.E. Also, i thought stringing it looser would put less stress on the strings.

if you have TE idk how high i would go with ALU, not more then 55-57 IMO

50 lbs is not loose depending on what frame you are using. If you have tennis elbow, just be careful about stringing higher. Also, kevlar may be more durable for you but at the same time it is stiffer than polys. I would probably recommend a more value poly if the lux is running high on price as you are going to break polys pretty fast regardless. Maybe save the lux for matches and buy something like a reel of topspin cyberflash or unique big hitter for practice. The blue versions of these strings are softer if you continue to experience problems with your TE.

In that case try stringing higher and if your elbow flares up try using a more comfortable poly along with ALU. That's what I did and my elbow is perfectly fine now.

I think ~2 hours is pretty generous for a 5.0... I mean, the pro who tests strings for Technifibre can break a string in like 125 shots.

Your just a fast string better. You could try string savers. Since your still young and high rated, you probably won't have to worry. Also, you could try the tension increase.
