Are double racquets illegal?

So I'm thinking of developing a Nito Ryu Darth Maul style double racquet game. Not for effectiveness but just to confuse my opponent for a game or so. Plus I'm bored.

Anyway, is it legal? The only thing I can find on search is about double handled racquets, which is not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about using two racquets at once, one in the left hand and one in the right.

A little too bored.

how is it "effective?" is it easier running around with two racquets than one?

...I think what you really need to get into is wearing two jocks...one under your shorts, and the other on your head...

how would you serve with one racquet in each hand?

Actually...how about bouncing the ball up with the left racquet and hitting the serve with the right?

It'd be sweet to see in action if the person knew what they were doing...Typical rules ruining all the fun...

Agreed. The best part about tennis is the unique playing styles. Too many rules stifle individual expression.

But don't answer yet...

...there's more! How about bouncing the ball up with the left racket and hitting the serve with the right...while wearing a jock on your head! And cruising around the court on a pair of roller blades! Wait, I've got it...who needs tennis balls, how boring...let's try it with Super Balls! Wearing the kind of 3-D glasses you need to properly see the original version of Elvira, Mistress of the Dark! Am I getting warmer?

Whatever turns you on, man. I just want to play tennis with two racquets.

What individual expression? You're copying something from a movie because it looked cool?

I admit, it did look cool......in the movie....

You should be thankful in this instance that the rules prevent you from looking and acting like a big giant dork.

But feel free to don the Darth Maul Mask and clothing while you play tennis, there is probably no rule against that.

has anyone seen the double handled racquet that guy in the challengers is using for his 135-145 mph jump serve.

Yes, if you play with double racquets, you may die of embarrassment. And following the rules may prevent you from making a fool of yourself....at least a while. But when you're dying in your bed, many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and break the rules. To tell them that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our double racquets!

...I'm Totally Ready to die in my bed, or anywhere else, for that matter, many years from now, as long as I get to play tennis with two rackets! So how do I do that? Is that a new event, like "USTA Mixed Doubles 2.5 Tennis With Two Rackets...And a Jock on Your Head?' Are there "USTA Sanctioned Events" in this category (in my area) that I can enter this year? How about sponsorships (I'm thinking "Depends" here)? Help me out, I'm just a beginner in this exciting new arena...

Based on your posts in this thread I would say that it is actually you who would be more likely to wear a jock-strap on your head rather than the original poster. Give it a rest.
