I've demo'd all three and just switched back to the mid.... it's all preference, but my opinion is...
MID- Cuts clean through the air, a ton of spin for supposedly an 89sq.in. 18x20 frame. Very dense in the sweetspot, but I feel it helps to lift when hitting the forehand with topspin. Nice, solid feeling sweetspot, does not play anything like the liquidmetal or flexpoint mids, closer to the i.prestige-- but still doesn't quite get that i.prestige stiff, responsive flex. My favorite out of the three for serving and groundstrokes. This one really wants to move fast--- and almost as if lower swing speeds hinder performance.
MIDPLUS- A little clumsy at high swingspeeds compared to the mid-- but still good-- the slower the swing speed the better-- the sweetspot on the midplus compared to the mid feels wide open. I, personally, had a hard time gauging and centering my shots-- due to the thicker beam and wider sweetspot.
Favorite shot-- definately the volley and any other touch shots, lobs, drop-shots-- a little more room for error.
MIDPLUS PRO- Felt like a completely different racquet than it's bretheren. More power--- and easier to swing-- almost like a sub 12oz. frame. Did not enjoy this racquet-- but that's just me-- I like to swing fast and loose, with alot of topspin on both ends, alot of slice- junk- droppers-lobs-- Again, more so than with the Midplus-- had a hard time centering it at high swing speeds-- nothing a little modifications couldn't easily take care of. Favorite shot- the 2handed backhand-- was getting more depth and spin, with more room for error.
All three racquets are very playable and highly customizeable-- The aspects that I love about the MicroGel Prestige series are the comfortable flex ( will not injure you ) and the quality control. The two I own are exactly the same-- purchased at different times from two different sources and the other demos were within .1-.2oz. off and balance is always spot on.
Godd Luck.
