Siblings and Racquets

I am wondering what the odd are that the Williams sisters and the Bryan brothers would be using the same racquets ast heir sibling, the Wilson [K] Blade Team and the Prince Speedport Black, respectively; and what this says for the need for every player to have a racquet fit to their kind of game.

Isn't this claim a bit overrated, and perhaps encouraged by the manufacturers, who put out more racquets than we can keep track of?

I mean, it kind of defys the odds, given what we are told about picking the right racquet for your game, that the Williams and Bryan siblings would each pick the same kind of racquet as their sibling. Especailly the Williams sisters.

I know every well that these folks could beat any of us with a broomstick; but they are playing other accomplished players...and that has to make a thinking person wonder.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Is it just hype about how different racquets are? Do siblings really play tennis in similar styles? Is it a paintjob? Or does the improbable just happen to happen sometimes?

It is a similar styles thing. The bryan brothers play the exact same attacking game, (except playing hand) and the williams sisters play the same style of
big bashing tennis. Also I bet Wilson and prince pay them big bucks to use the same frames, just becuase it looks great on an advertisement to have both the bryan twins holding speedport blacks. :-D

OK; but let's look at all the various specs that go into a racquet. I find it very hard to believe that each of the four require exactly the same thing (and, indeed, the Bryan bros use different grip sizes; and I am betting that all four use different strings. I beieve that the mpact of the kind of strings one uses and the tenion at which they are strung is vastly underrated by most -- mostly because these factors raise trhe variables exponentially to the point where most people cannot keep track.).
IF this is the case, then aren't the exacting twists and turns most of us go through to find the "right" racquet for us produced, in part at least, by marketing?

With the Williams/Bryans, they are using the same base model racquets, but they vary in weight, grip size, string, and tension.
