identification help sought: interesting russian frames

I stopped past a thrift store and found a couple interesting frames for $2.99 each.

Both are unused frames with covers. Leather grips in 4 1/2 grip size.

Weights are 13.4 ounces for one, 13.3 ounces for the other. 4 points headlight.

From what I can deduce, the frames are labeled in russian. On the tops of the frames the composition is labeled as "glass, carbon, aramid" (see pics)

If anyone out there knows of this brand and frame, I'd appreciate any information.

While I have no idea what those are, interesting that they have what appears to be a sligthly 'isometric' head similar to Yonex frames.

I think I was able to translate the name on the sides of the throat to read "Impulse"........

Yeah, they do look similar to Yonex frames, I also have a Pro Kennex Composite Ace that has the semi-isometric head.

The headsize looks close to being 95 sq. in.

Hoping some of our non US board members can shed some light....

I'm not proficient in the language and it's hard with Google.

You search for "russian tennis racket" and all you get are links to Sharapova and Kournikova...... :)

I posted what I could measure at home above.

13.4 ounces for one frame, 13.3 ounces for the other.

Weight and balance. From my subjective point of view, they seem to be of medium flex and have approximately 95 sq. in. headsize.

There's no other details on the frame other than the supposed composition (no ratios or percentages of graphite, fiberglass, and kevlar) and the grip size for these frames.....

I'm just hoping someone that knows of Russian made/branded frames knows of these, or at least can confirm my "translation" of the words printed on them......

The three words on top of the frames: Steklo is glass, Uglerod is Carbon. And "Aramid". Aust Impuls(e)

These are the first racquets Sharapova played with....lol jk!

Edit: You are right! Fiberglass, Graphite and Aramid, which is Kevlar.

ee (ee like in see)
ehm (m as in map)
peh (p as in pet)
oo (oo as in boot)
ehl (l as in lamp)
the "b" could be beh (b as in bet) or it could be an apostrophe equivalent
ehs (s as in see)

English equivalent would be:

i-m-p-u-l-(' or b)-s

That sentense doesn't make sence. This is like saying Talking in russian, very good (in female term). Suppose to be:

Oчень xорошо говориш по русски.

I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with these frames. They look decently made. I'd have to mod them a bit to get them to where I like.

Plus I'd have to cut out the strings (although hate to lose the stencil) and restring. The ones in there feel like rubber bands.

Get some tracing paper and carefully copy the stencil or use the photos, a photo editor and resize the stencil image to get it close and then make a stencil from poster board.

izvinitze no ya gavaryu ochen nimnoshka..in other words i pretend to speak russian lol...you are the real russian! ya lyublyu russki diavushki! :)
