My primary weapon of choice

Not sure, i just read about it on the internet, felt that one rubber band wasnt enough, so i put another one but around 4 strings instead of 2, i love the setup, but it might just be a placebo effect.

Can anyone give me any information about my aeropro? my dad got it for me when i started tennis 2 years ago, i've never seen one like mine :?

yeah, i love the power, i actually like the feel better than the newer aeropros. I wanna try the borris becker 11 though, heard great things. And i just got some suggestions to string with SPPP and Blue Gear, at 65/67. the max is 62 for my rac though, and i'm afraid of frame-warps

DWD and domhas, I still have a few of the original APD's and will keep a couple even though I no longer play them everyday. They are just awesome racquets, much better feel than the dull rubbery feel of the Cortex APD's.

They do have tons of pop and to reign in the power, I have always strung them on the tight side - 66/68 on my Babolat Star 2 electronic machine. You shouldn't have any problems with the frame warping due to its stiffness and it would also help if your stringing machine has a 4 or 6 point mount compared to 2 point mounts. The mounts help to support the hoop much more to minimize it from warping. Hope this helps...

just seeing these old school racquets is making me drool.
if you ever decide to sell these off let me kno

is that the same duralast available from TW? how does it play, and if you've used gosen polylon ice in the past, a comparison would be MOST welcome.

No. This is duralast tour. But i'm unsure if its the same as the 'new' duralast that is on sale everywhere. Feels dead n stiff... I'm in abit of a tight budget thus this setup. Since its dead.. i figured i won't restring it as often as b4

Was that intensional or did you run out of string?

I didn't string it. I took it to Sports A that's like up the street from my ouse to save a few bucks. I paid $15 the day before to get it strung with my usual guy. He used to charge $10 a few months back, hence why I was surprised and didn't want to pay $15 again. SA cost $12, $3, but money is money. Stringer calls me and let's me know the frame is rady, but that when he was about to tie or finish, it broke. So this is what he did. He said the store would give a free string job "If I wanted" and if it was really "necessary" get me a new string. The thing is, SA doesn't carry Luxilon down here, so even if I would have said yes, get me a new stringjob, they would have slapped on there their cheap prince crap. None of the stuff they carry tickles my fancy, I rather play with the string I want.

this is why you pay that extra $3 to someone who knows what they're doing instead of going to a big box store.

It's ok but the OGSM seems to shread after a while. I experimented with Gamma Syn Gut in the crosses and it seems to have more feel and touch.
This on a Prince Thunder 820 Longbody.

I think it is just my lack of play that the strings do not do this on me. It is off season and the strings just become loose they dont fray.

One guy I strung a Gosen OGSM crosses for hits with a ton of topspin. The OGSM seems to shread like a multi. It's slowly unwinding but still holding strong. I see him every week and check on the progress of the strings. For far it's been more than two week since it started to shread. I have not heard from my other customers, if the same thing is happening to them.

Gamma Zo Twist 16 Mains & Wilson Super Spin 16 Crosses, strung at 50-50. You guys are probably wondering why the heck I'm using Super Spin on the crosses, but I just wanted to experiment. BTW, used to use Lux BB ALU Rough 16L, but Gamma seems to be a lot softer and gives a little more feel.

thanks buddy,
must of been the late in the night, the cause of my noob post of pic

btw, strings are alu power blue & nxt 16

Nice Racquets & string job!

Pure Drive 1st gen w/ Signum Pro Tornado mains/ALU Power crosses @ 54/52lbs

Another shot at IMO, the best of all PD's.

MarratSaffin- Nice looking racquets & string jobs! I have the same racquets also, but play with the new P/D GT. How do you like the Signum Pro Tornado? I am getting away from ALU Power do to tennis elbow, plus Alu dieds to fast! I have recently purchased W/C silversting, Sig Pro Tornado & Hyperion, Revenge to try in the mains & use gut in the crosses. Currently have one Gt strung with Revenge(50lbs.) mains & NVY(BAB) in the crosses(53lbs.). Faily nice combo. By the way...Do you like the Pure Control or the Original Pure Drive more? I have only been playing tennis for a little over a year now. Hit the ball machine everyday for 1 1/2 hours....just now get a mild form of tennis elbow and have always strung racquets low! Happy Holiday....Dan...
