So only difference between the two is duraflex? what does the duraflex do for the string?

The Duraflex is a thin strand of kevlar wrapped around the string to enhance durability, as Prince claims. It also provides a slightly stiffer and crisper feel to your stringbed. Prince Synthetic Gut Original is a bit softer with less crispness and maybe less durability. Personally, I'm not a fan of duraflex.

I recently switched a couple guys off the Duraflex onto original and both of them greatly prefer Original. It has lasted them longer and both feel it plays better than Duraflex.

Exactly my thoughts. I too prefer the non duraflex personally but I stock the duraflex because that's what my customers want.

Duraflex: Plays crisper with better control and stiffness.
Original: Plays softer with more feel.

I like the originla better because it is softer and has more feel. Every now and then I use Duraflex when I really want to hit all out.
