Eagnas Combo 910

I am having a problem with one of my clamps of the 910.
It won't hold up when I lock the clamp ,so I can tension another one,and the screws are turned all the way in.I screwed and unscrewed it a few times, but it becomes stiff (that's the only way it works)and not very smooth as it was supposed to be,like in the beginning.
Any solutions??
thanks

Which screw did you turn? You may need to adjust the lever cam.
There are 2 screws on the side of the clamp where you can adjust how tight you want using the Allen wrench.
Those are the one's I tried to find the best set up with and they are turned in all the way,but I figure it will break if I keep using them like that.I think it can be the handle, since when I turn it to lock the clamp it releases itself so the clamp isn't holding the pressure of the tension of the string while I string another one.

Is the eagnas 20e okay or bad reviews. Or the eagnas hawk 126e. Also the flex 920. Another is the hyper 320. Are there bad reviews with these or good. im a begginer.

Stay away from the low end electronic machines, unless you only string badminton rackets.

The Flex 920 is a decent machine, if you only plan to string for yourself. Forget about the Hyper 320, it's not a popular machine.

Im trying to decide between Flex 920 and Flex 722e or a basic klippermate.

Did you look at AlCheng's Video?
I did, let's see if it is fixed next time I string,it seemed ok after the adjustments,I also saw the Jim E video which was really good as well, more depth of how to take the handle off, which I did that too.
thank you once again.

I had a similar problem with the Plus 6500 I got recently. I dis-assembled the base clamps to clean and adjust them.

The combo 910 is to much.$$$$

There is also the Combo 810 to consider. Or the Used market, but you are looking at about $250 and up.

You have to be really patient to get a used machine. I was thinking of getting of used machines, but after constantly checking 3bay and craigslist for a couple of weeks, I gave up. I didn't think it was worth the wait, since I could be saving money if I bought a new machine. By the way, I just looked at your other posts. If you're not really a string breaker, why don't you just pay somebody else to string for you. It will save a lot of time, and usually you can find a stringer that strings for 10 dollars. A stringing machine may not be worth it IMO.

I kinda agree with AFM, but if you are hell bent on buying a machine, no one is going to stop you. I see used Klippermates sell for $40 in my area. Though it never crossed my mind to buy one for fun. Also waiting around for one to show up on craigslist is no fun either.

I think after a few of the guys here bought a new machine, and a similar machine happen to show up in their area afew weeks after. Also if you settle for something less than what you want then you will feel remorseful.

At least you are not paying CA Sales Tax. I think it's around $75 shipping to CT.

High Roller is right, Gardena border of Torrance. One block East is Gardena.

The flex 226e. By the way what does eagnas charge for shipping.

you mean the hawk 226e?

man, not sure i'd do that. looks like little bang for the buck.

get a better machine that is manually operated. then upgrade to electronic later if you must (wise, perhaps). you'll learn alot from a crank or dropweight as well, IMO.

edit: i re-read your posts. get a challenger I

turntable looks beefier. as do the towers, perhaps?

swivel lock clamp bases vs. cone lock. (debatable??, no.)

disc brake vs. screw brake (debatable)

Yes the turntable looks beefier in the combo. Not sure what the differences between swivel lock clamp bases vs. cone lock. I like screw brakes better than disc brakes personally.
