He wasnt pushing against Haase. Hit some winners here and there, but certainly didnt push..just a little too defensive at times, but thats no pushing.
And to be honest those 30 aces was because of Haases injury.

Roddick was serving mad...even if Haase wasn't injured...he wouldn't have gotten those. All those slice serves, kickers placed with precision!

It wasn't long ago that Roddick all but beat Federer at Wimbledon (2009). I'd say he's still a slam contender. He doesn't play much different to 2009, if at all.

I like his competitive attitude and love how he hustles and tries, although its a pity he doesnt hit the ball as much as when he first started. Haase made him hit more, hope its a lesson for RodDick.
Although, whenever I start rooting for him a bit, he comes up with an arrogant, sour boy crap that reminds me why I dont really like him. Behave boy, I didnt catch that ball to the head against Haase, but hopefully it was a half miss-hit, or wasnt it?¡

Roddick may not want to be too aggressive because when Connors was his coach the tactic he employed was more aggression, and it led to the biggest beatdown Roddick has ever received from Federer.

He was passive at AO 07 if you mean that beatdown. Hes balls just landed short and to the hitting zone of Feds.
In USO 07 he played the right way. If he plays like that agains Fed this year, he would win probably, cause Fed isnt anywhere near to the 07 level.

I've gotta know, man; what's with trying to make Roddick's name super-phallic every time you post it? Is this a long-tired attempt at being clever that's been run into the ground by anyone's that's ever done it, or are you just utterly enthralled with the words rod and dick?

everyone knows when A-rod comes up against fed, fed can read his serve so much better than anyone else, he normally reads it like a book when he's seeing it well, and it is very hard to serve aces against fed. The only time when fed really cudn't start to read his serve was at wimbledon 09 when roddick was at his very best and serving absoloute bullets, plus fed really wasn't playing well at all tbh, sad thing for roddick fed still won that match.

I'm cheering for America. We could use another Slam Champion considering Roddick is our most recent one and that was 7 1/2 years ago.

Well, it's not that Fed can read the serve (roddick, after all, puts his toss in the same place every time for every serve), it's just that fed is one of the greatest returners on tour and he was the first to figure out that all you need to do is be quick to react, and block the ball back deep, and his serve is neutralized. It's mostly Fed's genius, not roddick's error.
