Anyone try the new propulse out yet? Any feedback? How does it compare to some of the other shoes out on the market and how does it compare to previous propulses.
Got mine a couple of days ago and they are AWESOME. Babolat continues its excellence. I love the Propulse 2's and have them in Black, Blue and White. I love these new Propulse 3's. I have a wide foot and they accomdate very nicely. I wonder when the 2's will go on sale?
Hey protel, I purchased my normal size 12 as I did with the Propulse 2's and they fit great. Go with your normal size. If they don't fit, you can always exchange them for free through TW.
Thanks for your info, I'm still unsure if I should get a normal size though because last night after I finished tennis my barricade 5 felt a bit tight (This is the first time that I felt there's no space in the toe box).
I wish I lived in the US so I can return the item if they don't fit well.
But anyway, thanks for your advice, much appreciated
Well, I normally wear a size 11 Nike tennis shoe, but I needed to order a size 12 Babolat Propulse 2 (in part because I have a wide foot). If the Propulse 3 is sized the same as the Propulse 2, I would recommend going at least a half size larger. Hope this helps.
Hi Hominator, thanks for your comment.
After I read some customer reviews on Propulse 2, most of them said the shoes run a half-size small. So there's a high chance now that I'd get a 10.5 instead of 10 (Just to be on the safe side)
Since you mentioned you have a wide foot, and had to order a size larger, I was wondering how does the length feel? I assume there would be a noticeable amount of space left on the length.
Thanks again
Length was fine - the shoe does really run a bit wide. They just run small, overall, IMO. Hope this helps.
OK I am going to post my question here, instead of starting another thread. I love the Red propulse, but they are only for MEN
For women choices are less "colored"......
Thus: do you think I could play in a men'shoe or am I risking injury?
You can play in a mens shoe. Maybe get a size or 2 smaller. The Propulse tends to run a little narrower so it should be okay for a woman to wear.

Yesss? Is the difference a marketing thing, only? All right, I have to get them, I will post how they feel....

How do the 3's compare to the 2's? Seems in many ways just a few updates, but the 2's still a great shoe?? I'm eyeing the prices on 2's all over the place, hoping for a price drop...
I've about worn thru my Babolat Team AC 4's, and I really was impressed with the Michelin outsole durability. It lasted longer than my last pair of CC Genius outsole, and the Michelin had amazing traction even in the final month... the toe had worn through but the rest of the grip was still squeaking on court. Babolat has won me over from Adidas with these outsoles. I'm just not into bright colors, so the all-white P2's are what I'm looking at next, unless the 3's are THAT much better??
Are the Propulse 3's a blister maker like my version 2's? On my Titaniums I had to get a half size larger and replace the stock insole with one of my Asics running shoe insoles. After that no more blisters. Overall the shoe has been the best performing court shoe I've ever worn, just not the most comfortable in long matches.
Just wanted to know if I have to replace the insole right off the bat, thanks.

Do these run half a size small like the Propulse 2 Titanium?
Fit: Length fit is true to size. Width fit is medium and slightly roomier than the previous version. Arch support fits at a medium height and the level of support is adjustable.
I just received my Propulse 2s that I bought b/c they were on sale, they are supposed to be durable and my feet run wide. I've been using the Barricade V and NB 804s in size 11. The Propulse 2 White are easily a 1/2 size too short!
How many pairs of these has TW sold that they don't know this?!?!
Its nice they have free return shipping but annoying nonetheless.
I tried these shoes on at a local tennis club and imo they were surprisingly uncomfortable
If the 2's are indication, they'll need a solid break-in period, and after that you have a comfy ride. Of course, all our feet are different, so it's not for everyone.
For those who've used both 2 & 3... how do the break-in periods compare?
Yea, I've used both BV and NB 803, and with Babolat (Propulse 2 as well as All Team court 4), I had to go up 1/2 size. Their desc on ATC4 was accurate to size up .5, and I'm not sure how they missed that on the PP2, since I've used both in a size 12 and both fit the same... perhaps that there is a little more "room" in the toebox on the PP2, but the "length" is definitely the same as the ATC4 (i.e. short).
And when it comes to best shoe for me, the PP2 is way better than anything else I've used. Period. The footbelt thing seems odd on paper, but wow does it translate to a perfect fit; the adjustable heel is a thing of beauty. Already bought a backup of the on sale PP2's, as my experience with the other Babolat shoe and Michelin sole is extreme durability, better than Barricade. PP2 is a solid 2 oz lighter than Barricade with better grip and similar lateral support.
Just shipped mine back. I have pretty wide thick feet and the fit did feel good except for the obvious shortness. Not a ton of arch support but I've come to expect that I have to change the insoles from most shoes these days. Would've been nice to have the shoes for the weekend. Breaking in doesn't bother me as long as its a good shoe and lasts well.
I put Spenco Total Support insoles in my PP2s and they make the shoe so much more supportive.
BTW guys I tried on the PP3 in store today. From a long time owner of the PP2, the PP3 without a doubt DEFINITELY fits smaller and true to size. I wore a 10.5 in the 2 and I would never size higher than 10 (Actual size) in the 3. The stringer commented how Babolat seems to have realized their slightly larger european size was confusing people in this market, I couldn't agree more.
Side note: The plastic molding they shaved off the forefoot is definitely welcome, feels very nike breathe II-esque however it does seem that the mesh will give/stretch out a bit over time more than the previous versions.
Thanks for the suggestion. I typically used Superfeet Orange but may give these a try. The Orange are very supportive but not much cushion and not cheap.
A bit confused by the bolded part. How does the 3 fit smaller and more true to size when the 2 already fit smaller than most shoes? Are you just talking about width maybe or toebox width?
oops typo, edited/bolded for correctness.
Just sent in a pair of 2's - and sadly - they sent me the 3's. Ugh.... terrible color/look.
I saw the boards here about "how long it takes" on warranty replacement. I sent last Monday at 11am, and the new pair were on my front porch the following Monday at 11am.
8 days, including shipping.
So now I'm trying to find somewhere to swap for a pair of Black 2's for these Disco Modules..... Babolat should include a heavy gold chain with the purchase of the red ones.....They'd go perfect together......
By the way; I get 2 to 2 1/2 months from Babolat soles before they're completely gone through into the inside. I 'll get 5 months from a Prince T22.
