Bradley KLAHN v Gael MONFILS

Wow, this is going to be something special, I cannot wait. I think Klahn in three very very tough sets. Klahn needs to serve well and control the points with his forehand, because if he doesn't then Monfils will serve well and control the points with his forehand. Any other thoughts?

thing is it's hump day, middle of work week, USA ... currently 8:30 PM on the Left Coast and 11:30 PM on the East ... people gotta get up for work tomorrow ... you can expect more on the weekend!

John McEnroe for one. Took those guys a lot of time to get their level up to par, however.

An NCAA champ can go on to BECOME a top player, but winning it doesn't mean you ARE a top player.

Klahn getting schooled by Monfils so far. Klahn may end up becoming a solid ATP player some day, but (take note Fedace), he'll quickly find out that he's not near this level yet.

I think it's a respectable showing considering Klahn is ranked around #800 and Monfils is a top 10 talent.

The ATP site has Klahn listed at 6'3 but he was at least 3" shorter than Monfils who is 6'4

Klahn is obviously able to compete with top 20 players. He took a set off Querrey on the US Open and you definitely wouldn't expect an 800 ranked player to put up a decent fight against Monfils. Trust me on this one, Bradley's career is just getting started
