Isn't that thing stiff, heavy and sluggish enough for you ?? You want to enhance those "qualities" ??

That's understandable. I had a similar problem with my old Speed MP's.

I haven't seen any mention of a change in string pattern, and the head size is still the same. So, it sounds like a reasonably safe bet that the grommets will fit.

If I were in your shoes, I would take the gamble.
