What *type* of player matches up well to Djokovic?

I said 'type' because obviously no single player is matching up to the smug b@stard right now.

eg. if I asked what type of player matches up well to Federer, you would say "anyone who hits a left handed forehand with 5 million revs of topspin to his weak single handed backhand and uses his superior movement and buttpicking skills to grind him down."

If I asked what type of player matches up to Nadal well, you would say: "anyone who is comfortable handling high backhands, who has excellent movement and consistency...etc...

And if I asked what type of player matches up well to Murray, you would say: "anyone."

We already know that the 'Delpo/Berdych/Soderling' power-hitter type player who is so effective against Federer and Murray practically plays right into the hands of the Djoker who can easily redirect the pace.

So if the Djoker is immune to big hitters and immune to heavy topspinners (Nadal) - just what type of player could take it to him? Serve-volleyers? I think not as Djokovic has the best ROS in the game...?

I think anyone who spreads the court well, comes into net and can volley and takes the ball early.Except it needs to be on a fast court which no tournament is played on now except indoors and end of year final 8.

What!?

Murray is an E-grade version of Djokovic himself.

Their games are identical except Djokovic has a better forehand (esp. down the line), backhand (again, esp. down the line), 1st serve, 2nd serve, volleys, smash, drop-shots, defense, passing shots, movement, slice...etc...

If I were Djokovic I'd be laughing every time I faced Murray (if I didn't have a crippled shoulder at the time).

The characterization of Djoko is not accurate. If anything, he's had massive confidence problems in the past. It's only now that he's starting to believe in himself.

Dkoko is nowhere near as good as Murray at punching his racquet and abusing himself.

To beat Djokovic you would need the following:

Forehand of Del Potro
Backhand of Peak Nalbandian/Safin
Serve of Federer/Sampras
Passing shots - Nadal
Defense/Movement - Murray
Fighting spirit : Connors
Temperament : Borg

I will go on a limb and say that Nadal, Federer and Murray match up well against Djokovic. This doesnt mean they will always win against Him or He will always win against them. If they play 10 matches, they will have a pretty close W-L record.
