Fed has a place in all our hearts...including those *******s whose support for Roger is not pure: they want an easy final for Nads.

Same here. Big fan of Roger but I'll be behind Novak.
ENOUGH already with those annoying French Open meetings with Rafael!

But these are the times when the Nadal fans SUDDENLY become Fed supporters, for some reason or another.

Is the OP joking? The only ones who will be pulling for Federer are *******s who will be praying for Rafa's clay pigeon to come through. Any Federer fan why is hoping for a win against Nole is clearly a masochist.

Fed in 2 .
lol, no you got it wrong. Fed in one :)

now, I really don't understand this popularity contests ... Is not Fed the most popular player already? just another silly thread. when you win 17 slams you will probably be more popular :twisted:.

Hell no ! This is Rafa's best chance to win against Novak. He is in superb form and its his favourite surface. I want him to go toe to toe with the Serb in the final. If he can't win against Novak on his favourite surface, I will be the first Nadal fan to admit that Rafa is officially Djoko's bi*ch :roll:. Sounds so much like Wimbly 2008 where Rafa beat Federer on the latter's favourite surface and guess what, Federer hasn't been able to win in a slam against Rafa after that loss. I don't want Nadal to face the similar fate. So from a fan's perspective, I shall say its do or die for Rafa.

You never know. Rafa can lose to Ferrer, injure himself etc. You never know and though my hopes arent high i still take a final over a semi

He's the most popular tennis player as it is today, if he wins his aura as the second best clay court player in the Open Era will be stamped and processed.

Even if he loses the final the guy will be 300 points behind Rafa in the ranking race where going into the grass court season, with Rafa likely not winning anything till Montecarlo of next year, i'm guessing he's going to be pretty popular for longer than just a few days:)

OP means popular even amongst Nadal fans too. Anyway, I don't think so. Last year, he certainly was. Nadal fans were falling over themselves to root for him then. This year, with Djokovic playing not so well again, I bet they want Federer out so that Nadal can win and they can reassert the importance of the "H2H". They'd better hope Novak's form stays where it is though :lol:

you mad? LOL

Its okay, rafa is popular too.

You do know that NSK is a perfectionist at getting reactions out of everyone here? That is why he posts in the manner he does, and will continue to do so until no one responds.

See if you can find a thread where NSK posts something that warrants a reaction, but no one posts. A little while later in the thread, he will up the intensity a little more, put a little bit more heat in the kitchen until someone's resistance to him breaks and he gets a response.

His victory is always absolute. Saying that, sometimes I do agree with him. :)

I have never lacked attention, so there is no way of me knowing whether I want attention. I have never had a thread that was ignored. Your theory would only be correct if I actually was ignored (and if I posted again after being ignored). Anyway, I've never thought about the reactions of others, I've only posted the truth. There is no point posting something I don't believe in. It would be boring and tedious (not worthwhile typing posts about something that isn't really your opinion).

I know you don't lack attention. I have stated already that you are a perfectionist at getting reactions, and that in itself is a skill. Clarky21 has chosen a different way to get attention, and is very successful with what she does. And when I talk about the threads, I don't mean the ones you create, but threads in which you join in to say something about Nadal, even when the thread has nothing to do with it, and when nothing happens, you up the intensity and post something again that gets the reaction.

Hey, you are a master at what you do.

You did slip up with the NadalWon2012 line though, quoting 'him' word for word about Nadal's world history three slams surface and stuff.

But, I do think at times you do post some really good information here, and I appreciate that.

I'm typing my opinion. I don't understand what you mean by the reactions of others. I would be typing the same thing whether one person was in this forum or 1000. You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about (you think you do, but you've completely missed reality).

If you think I mention Nadal without relevance, then show me some evidence, because I can assure you there is always a connection between the topic (the topic being discussed in the thread, not the actual thread title as that rarely stays the topic) and Nadal when I mention Nadal. I only follow the course of the thread.

Keep typing your opinion, I'm not stopping you. And yes, I have every idea what you do here, and I'm not the only one who has missed it. Or your numerous accounts. But hey, what do I know, right? I'm just another delusional poster. Peace. :)

Ah so you admit that each post is really my opinion. Good, now you are in reality.

No, you are wrong about 'numerous accounts', not that I care what you think. If I had numerous accounts I would be banned. I wouldn't be banned if Hitman thought I had numerous accounts.

"come Friday"? :?

This place has always been filled with *******s.

*******s? You can be a fan without being an idiot. You can certainly make a believable case for Federer:
-there's a precedent;
-Djokovic has played a tough match against Tsonga and isn't any near his usual game shape;
-their head to head overall seems to favor Federer.

However:
-bearing the 2006 event out, Djokovic leads Federer 2-1 on clay and leads him 6-5 overall since 2010 (5 to 1 since 2011);
-Federer is not either playing his best shape game currently;
-Djokovic recently took him out in Rome.

With these in mind, the match risks to be tough on both opponents and it might be again one of the most exiting match of the tournament. Regardless of the result, on the other hand, Nadal will probably win the tournament.

Statistically, the incidence of this over a large population of matches is almost void... it only tells how matches will tend to go, overall, when both players meet, not how matches overall against any player will turn out. Being the best player is about defeating most opponent, not just one or one kind of them. Ergo, asserting its importance is literally not understanding what the statistics mean...

What you need to compute to figure out who's the best player is purely and simply how he would perform under all conditions imaginable; by having a large spectrum of conditions, we isolate the variable we call "player". If you take the H2H, especially if it's mostly done in similar conditions like always on hard courts or clay or grass, you do a very poor job of isolating your variable. You never change the player, don't vary the competition's skill asset, don't vary the match up, don't change the surface and probably also don't change the type of tournament.

It's exactly like a guy who upon seeing that the gas price has risen 5% over one year concludes that inflation for this period has been 5%... well, not necessarily. Real term changes impact gas price, not just the devaluation of money. You need to take as many items as you can to counter market changes and isolate only the upward pressure on price due to the money's devaluation versus goods and services -- and, if you can, you also avoid taking gas or food because their pricing is too jerky and it blurs the data. Of maybe you'd prefer to think about someone who met one Asian who has been rude to him and then thinks all Asian people are rude... in all of these cases, the fallacy is one of hasty generalization and it's fallacy since the person didn't bother isolating his variable properly.

I've been wishing Federer would go back to Switzerland (or wherever this pathetic tool lives) since Round One.

Did you want to mary Mirka and fed steal her from you?
Or, did you want to buy the cow that Fed was gifted after his first Wimby win and Fed refused to sell it?
What's up with you? You are one clown who should be banned.

Lol, Bullzilla genuinely concerned how his amateurish " poasts " are perceived on the random internetz. This guy must lack any recognition in real life

P.S. bullzi, bring back the parenthesis for the lulz

As a Rafa fan, I will definitely be rooting for Federer to beat Djokovic. :D Why shouldn't I? It gives Rafa another chance to widen the H2H on Federer.
