Looking to purchase a tennis bag ?

I plan on joining a league this winter for the first time, i don't have a car so i am going to have to travel by public transportation, my question is if i should invest in a bag that has a thermal lining for racquets, does the lining work some people say yes some say no, is it that important ?

The lining may help, but honestly it's not a heater nor an air conditioner. After a short period the lining may be of no help. My bag has the lining, can't say as i notice as my zippers are always open anyhow.

I'd go for comfort first and foremost (backpack?) if you really plan to tote it on the bus/train etc. Most of us just get our silly massive bags out of the trunk and walk a few yards to the court.

Enjoy the new league!!

im thinking a 6 pack cause i am going to have to change at the courts, extra shoes etc !

in that case you'll probably want a 9 or 12 pack. People always end up needing more room than a 6 pack and then eventually end up buying a bigger bag.

Technifibre bags are COMFORTABLE. Also the Babolat Aero bag is good too but a little pricy for a 6 pack..... I personally don't like wilson bags ( comfort, not design ) There is also a Volkl Super Tour 12 pack bag with lining and is only $39.99 from THE Tennis Warehouse! :) Great bag. These are my 3 suggestions.

I have a 6 pack and it works fine for my purposes - 2 racquets in 1 compartment and everything else (towel, water bottle, change of clothes, shoes, balls) in the other. There's also a small outer compartment that I use to store my keys, wallet, and phone. I do pack it full but haven't found the need to upgrade to a larger bag.

Well, how much winter clothings will you have (i.e., how cold is where you're from)? If you have to stuff a down jacket into your bag and keep everything on the court, then you might want a larger bag.

Wow, that Volk Super Tour bag is a nice deal. Another one...that I just purchased...is the new Wilson Prostaff 12-pack. I think TW has it for $49.99, and it has PLENTY of room. I carry four rackets in the middle and the other two are stuffed full of all my other junk...clothes, balls, grips, towels, socks, braces, tubes of IcyHot and other various athletic equipment and tennis type crap. There is not a shortage of room in any 12-pack bag, I would think, and if you are going to be taking changes of clothes and stuff, I would definitely get a 12-pack.

Head tour team all court bag is a winner, but GD it why doesn't it have a damn shoulder strap !

the search still continues !

Ditto! I love mine. My only regret was that I didn't know the 40% off sale was upcoming. Can you imagine this bag for about $25!! A steal at $40.
This bag was $89.99 at the time the sale was available. So technically, if you bought the bag during the sale, you just could have waited a couple days after to get this. But hey, were not future tellers so either way its a good bag to buy during/after the sale.

get the Adidas barricade 6 pack, its on sale for $35 and is an amazing bag. Can fit all of the needs you listed and has room for another racquet.

yes i read that on mid west, but i also read a review on tw, the thermal compartment fits 3 sticks.

has anyone fit 4 sticks in the thermal compartment ?

So I received my new Adidas Barricade II tour 6 pack bag, the bag looks good, quality looks good but time will tell, it defiantly has tons of room, but my 2 problems are, the thermal lined compartment is a little smaller than the
3rd compartment, i think the thermal compartment should be larger, and the back pack straps look cheap, but overall I think it was a nice buy for $40.00, i never owned a bag other than a back pack and i think this bag will do !
