Didn't it used to be a tradition for the USO winner to appear on the David Letterman show as well? Or am I mistaken?

Yes it used to be a given, Letterman doesn't do it as often anymore. I don't think Delpo appeared, I was nervous about how nervous he was going to be.

Did Andy show up on that show, Regis and Kelly? It seemed like every US OPen champion went on that show over the past 5 years.

They were not very professional. When they interviewed Fed in 2007, the first thing they asked him is "Who did you beat to win this?"

He was interviewed a few times by various people. Not sure if this show was among them.

It would be funny if they had asked Andy the same question. I wonder if his answer would have rung any bells?

You're incredibly ignorant of how television works. Do you think that they don't know the answers to the all the questions they ask? Television is for the audience, who may or may not know the answers.

Imagine an interview going like this: "Yeah so I Googled you for a half hour before the show and know all about your career and personality. Thanks for coming on. Goodbye."

No stormholloway is correct, that is exactly how tv works. All of the questions and answers are pre-discussed with the guest's handlers before the show. Regis & Kelly is a little more spontaneous but the questions are still known before. Very little is on the spot.

Thanks for the bump, Rommil!

Maybe by the time Andy wins another USO, Dave will retire his braces, loafers and dentures, CraigyFerg will move East and a whole clan of Scotsmen can celebrate a win properly! That plot is not nearly as farfetched as the twists of mind concocted in Craig's Between The Bridge & The River. If you haven't read it, you don't know how "off" he can be!!!

Bing Hitler FTW!

aka The Big Eraser's Son...his late father was an imposing figure with a thick shock of dark hair. The postal workers he supervised gave him that moniker. Craig has said he felt a bit of pressure growing up in the giant's shadow and it may have led to some of the resultant rebelliousness that manifested in his persona during the Bing Hitler era.
