Aha! Interesting indeed. Roddick looked 1 or 2 inches shorter than 6'4'' D.Wade when stood next to him, so I can only surmise that Sharapova's true height is more like 6' exactly. It looks like Roger is good for his extra inch over Masha, due to the size of his inflated cranium.
Maybe that'll throw off his balance on serve or something..

Nadal is really 6' tall, having stood next to him. Federer, Djokovic, Roddick and Murray all have accurate listed heights.

It's always funny to see how picky people are with the heights of pros.
On this forum, I have heard stuff like " Hewitt is 5 ft 9 max" " Sampras is 5 ft 11 rather than 6 ft 1" " Djokovic is a "very weak" 6ft 2"

I don't understand why it matters. Ferrer is clearly shorter than say Cilic, Del Potro, Berdych or Tsonga and look where he is ranked. Also guys like Isner and Karlovic aren't exactly tearing up. Height isn't a huge deal. I mean Olivier Rochus is like 5'6" or something and he can blow away a large percentage of the ATP tour. People need to get a life.

Nadal is 6'1" and a little. I've stood next to all these guys (where? Indian Wells--you literally can rub shoulders with everybody if they walk through the crowd) and I'm 6' 1" 1/2. Masha was a tad taller than me--a tad. So I don't think 6' 2" is a reach for her at all. I think it's quite unique that Nadal, Fed, and Djoker are all almost the identical height. I literally don't think there's a 1/4 difference between the three. That said, Muzza's the tallest. A bit over 6' 2"; nobody ever said Roddick was 6' 4"; that's ridiculous. He's about 6' 2" 1/2. The funny thing about seeing Rafa in person is that he's got by far the longest legs. He's got kind of a unique body amongst tennis players--very long legs, very big boned. Not lithe and sinewy at all a la Fed and Djoker.

Looking back at this nowadays. Murray is 6'2 at best(quoted as 6'1 3/4 by he himself). Does that mean Roddick and djoker are 6'1, Fed 6' 1/2 and Nadal/Sharapova 6'?
This is part of the reason Nadal looks taller. He has long legs(which give an illusion of being taller. Girls tend to have longer legs on average and that's why they usually look taller than they really are.) Rafa also wears the chunkiest shoes on the court plus wears insoles so he tends to get an extra 1/2" in height compared to the others on the court. When you see him in non court pictures with the others you can see he is 1 or 2 inches shorter.

Whatever. They would BOTH be able to go on tons of amusement park rides at Hershey Park that Tiny Carlos could only DREAM of.I read Maria Sharapova is 6'2 and she certainly looks tall for a female. I also read that Andy Roddick is also 6'2. Both heights confirmed by the ATP website. Unless my eyes are playing tricks, is Andy Roddick actually 6'4" tall or is Sharapova not 6'2" legitimately? :-?
