I wasn't playing top notch... My backhand was lazy... Its a quick video. Just some casual hitting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6X6GC4nRmYU
Use more concrete and less sand
both sides are kinda wristy, it might help you flatten out the ball by using less wrist and more legs.
solid.
You need more balance and less fawn jumpy energy.
Get to the ball, set feet, then hit. Concentrate more on shoulder turn.
Watch vids of AussieOpen players and watch their balance and economy of movement. Try to be less jumpy. That would add weight to your shots.
Your strokes look better to me than mine do, so I can't criticize. Whatever the more knowledgeable posters say. Thanks for the video. Good camera perspective. Fantastic.I'm hitting some tonight... I'll play less casual.
I had one too many Red Bulls that night... I think I filmed that around 2am... :mrgreen:I don't mean to go off topic but I laughed at your video of you cutting that tennis racquet in half.
Everything good except slice. It's popping up with 5 ft net clearance. That's not a slice. To fix it, make the racket face less open, and thrust more downwards.
I was doing that tonight as well... I was getting irritated...Don't lift rear foot and push off both legs on the backhand.
On forehand side try to set up deeper - more leg bend, more shoulder rotation (use your left arm more). On arm action try to smoothly extend the forearm a bit down and behind you right at the end of take back, so you get more upwards brush on the ball from the arm, instead of just relying on very narrow wrist action window
I thought your forehands looked pretty good. Backhand was a bit off balance and didn't have enough drive/extension through the stroke. I can tell you're a good player - and it seems like you spend enough time playing to where you'll figure this stuff out pretty fast.
Ok......???? :-?
Sand...concrete....construction get it?
Sort of.....
