Joachim has just won his first two qualifying matches as a wildcard in Stockholm...

Curious what he's swinging these days, anyone got an idea?

It's a Prestige Mid or thereabouts. Most likely YTPM.

Thought he was on a MP back in 2011, but I know he used a Wilson as well. I'll definitely take your word he's using a HEAD frame though, thanks.

I thought he played with a Yonex on the tour.

he still uses a yonex I believe. a while ago he was using an rdis model.

Pim Pim came on tour with a Prestige 600, then switched to Yonex RDX 500.

Has used several different frames and manufacturers since.

Joachim is a tall guy that serves big with a small flexible racquet. He definitely would use the Prestige and RD Mids (If it's a Yonex, it must be a paintjobbed RDX500!). However, he is not a Pro Staff 85 or 90 guy.

I saw him on tv playing yesterday, its definately a head prestige frame and definately a youtek paintjob, cant say if its a 600 or 630 though....

There are photos at the stockholmopen.se of Johansson. He is using the Prestige Mid and wearing Yonex clothing. I believe he is still using the Prestige Classic 600 with YT paint job.

Wow! And staying true to the PC600/PT10 pedigree he still sports the plastic collar above the grip

Hope it's not too late for him to secure a slam or two. Although at his age...at least mentally he isn't spent and hopefully a long lay off from injury helps too.

Not really, but if he was not hampered with injuries then probably he could have a good showing, maybe a Marat kind of success?

Oh those serves...Andy at least got one, nevermind how or when Andy got his USO but het got his singular slam anyhow.

One guy who could confirm(apart from JJ himself) is Patrick Rosenholm who also played the Stockholm qualis but lost in the last round in 3.
He used to post here as Rosen88 but after getting a bit of flak he decided to concentrate on his tennis.

After stalling in the rankings he is moving up again with some good coaching help from the Swedish Association.

Great to see Pim Pim back but think this will just be a one-off as he is happy enough with his sports coaching company & living in Stockholm with wife & 2 kids.

I say "Yes". He did get to the semis of the US Open in 2004, beating defending champion Roddick en route. He also has the biggest game I've ever seen.

When he was a little kid he could not say Joachim and said "Joa-pim" and then it went on to be Pim-pim.

Pim-Pim is also the name of a swedish candy

It's just a one time thing since it is in Stockholm. He's running a company and has got two kids etc so probably not too interested in getting travelling again.

But after he wins this tournament who knows
