Found you.
The technology measures forehands, backhands, serves, etc. As well as spin (slice/topspin), sweet spot, and power. It's pretty cool. You will be able to compare these numbers to your friends...and more excitingly, you can see the numbers of the pros. I've only seen a prototype and in my opinion, the user interface will really determine if this is useful and fun (I hope it is). They are still finalizing the end product and I'll update once I get to play with it (if I am allowed to speak on the subject). We'll have some big media events/testing in the future. Thanks for the patience.

Big part of the delay I'm hearing is because they are fighting to make this stick legal... As of now I heard its deemed illegal due to "coaching"
On court coaching is illegal but I thought this thing just uploads data to your computer when you get home from tennis.Big part of the delay I'm hearing is because they are fighting to make this stick legal... As of now I heard its deemed illegal due to "coaching"
?? Knowing how fast your racket swings is coaching? Seems spurious
That has nothing to do with coaching. It's because the scoring computer device doesn't show the running total. Only after the match can you look at the stats or at the printed scorecard to get that number.During an ATP event a player wanted to know how many double faults he had, so he asked the umpire who said that he could only tell him after the match.
If it works I'll get one. $300 is $$ but not a deal-breaker
I hope you're being sarcastic.
Another gimmick from a racquet company. We already know that someone out there will buy this.. but I hope they lose hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars on this idea. $300 is a complete waste of money on One racquet.
Also, fire the people who thought of this idea!

Just be grateful you don't live in Japan! Rackets are on average around that price point there, if my memory serves me correctly.

Wasn't Japan rated as "The Most Expensive Company in the World"?
Yeah, I'm not a fan on metropolitan cities either.
This device will never fly.
I'd agree it's about the execution and I'm sure that they'll get it right, but I won't be an early adopter.
I also would have hoped it would be modular like micoach. A device you can put into several Babloat racquets.
