Dimitrov to Head (prestige) in 2015

Djokovic had a rough patch when he switched from Wilson to Head and look at him now. It will take some time. But that is definitely a Head racquet. Wilson (nor any other manufacturer I can think of) doesn't make a clear grommet/head guard. But the Youtek ID had one... That said, I have done...

    Pro Staff 90 Setups

VS mains 58 (5% pre stretch)/4G crosses 55 with leather power pads at the throat. It's like butter. Also, Discho Microfibre 17G at 55lbs in a full bed.

Anyone use Synthetic gut and poly?

I play with poly in the mains and the s-gut in the crosses at about 3lbs higher. Softens the stringed while still providing similar performance. I have also heard of people putting the S-Gut in the mains and the poly in the crosses. IMO, syn gut will provide similar performance to NXT at a...

    Prince Original Graphite 93 Reissue

Anybody played with the reissue? I had the EXO3 Graphite 100 and then switched to the BLX PS 6.1 90 and am thinking about getting this as my next stick. After playing with the a 90, the head size will not be an issue and I am thinking about scooping up a pair of POGs to see what the fuss is...

    Serena's New Sneakers

Thanks guys. I thought I was seeing things. I'm surprised Nike hasn't released them to the masses.

For those who have, or currently wear both ..?

It's not even close. The Court Ballistecs are WAY more durable than the Vapors. The Vapors are more comfortable than the 4.3 Ballistecs. But like the other guy said, you would use the Ballistecs for practice and the Vapors for matches. But if you are not rough on sneakers, I would get...

    Serena's New Sneakers

Did anyone else catch the new Nikes Serena was wearing in Brisbane? TW says she is wearing the Max Cages, but when they showed a close up, it didn't look like them.

Thoughts on the 6.0 85 from an APD user

But isn't this one of the great things about this racquet? The 6.0 85 and the 90 Tour are like teachers in your hand. It's not that "it doesn't hold up from the baseline", it's just that it takes much more concentration and work. There is no room lazy footwork, no forgiveness for bad...

    Cold Weather Effect on Strings

I would say 5 lbs. But it's a feel thing. Better to be a little tight and play into the right tension than being a little loose and getting looser as time goes on.

    Prostaff 85 vs. Prostaff 90

I use Gamma TNT2 @ 53lbs on mine. But any good multi (NRG, X1-Biphase, Gamma TNT2, Discho Microfibre, etc.) at around 53lbs should be good. I strung it once with Luxilon M2 Pro at 55 and it only started playing right after the tension dropped from about an hour of use.

    Prostaff 85 vs. Prostaff 90

I currently play both (I use the 85 TW version for training/hitting sessions & the 90 for matches). The 90 is a more forgiving racquet. The 85 requires early swing preparation and focusing striking the ball in the middle of the string bed. Otherwise, it's going to be a shank. BUT, when you...

Using 18G poly with Gut Mains

If you want to decrease the risk of cutting into the mains, use string savers or a lubricant spray in the sweet spot. Also, you could try a thicker cross string.

    New "Old" Strings

As long as it wasn't Nat Gut it should be fine. He probably just wanted to warn you in case they break from being in storage for that long.

Bought my first 1/2 set of gut, now what to hybrid with?

Luxilon 4g in 16G. Gut on the main, Lux on the Crosses. Lux about 5lbs lower than the gut. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE THE N.VY
