To me, Federer's the best volleyer on tour. Apart from his early Wimbledon days, he's played some incredible Davis Cup doubles matches where he just completely dominates with his net play. In the past 5 years or so, the only person who's been as good of a volleyer as Fed was probably Henman.

You can argue if they played them, they would've been more tired at the other slams and might not have done as well

Ginepri seems physically unable at times to get the ball over to Gonzo's backhand, and he's missing the backhand down the line too much. And he has the tendency too much today to go all out when he gets pulled off the court. He just lacks the patience today. Good stuff from Gonzo though. Just...

Did anyone watch the beginning of the match where they were giving the "check marks" to each player, and Ginepri basically got every check mark except forehand? It was a sweet american bias on the match. Maybe they could've given Gonzo 7 check marks for how huge that fh is

The only problem with the early TTC coverage and the later ESPN coverage is not knowing what matches ESPN will show. I greatly prefer Killer and P-Mac to the tennis channel's army of commentators. If I have a choice between watching Fed with MacKay commentary and P-Mac commentary, I'll go with...
