Yonex AI 100 similar racquet?

Hi all,

Last 2 years I have been looking for a new racquet to replace my AI100s and always come back to them.

I tried all the following racquet and found them lacking a bit of the ai100 easyness, free power.
Prince tour 100p, ps project one7, AI 98, Dr98, pure control 95+, Head radical tour mp & OS, ti rad mp, Graphene radical pro, youtek prestige pro, ig prestige mp and I probably forgot some.

I also tried the below that were too powerfull and lacking the control I need for my mixed baseline & attacking style.
Pure aero plus, DR 100

As AI100 are harder and harder to find in good condition, I would like to find something similar but new, what are your suggestions please?

Thank you for your suggestions CopolyX,

I played with Head Graphene Radical Pro before switching to AI100 because of shoulder injury, maybe I should retry it as my technique is better than 3 years ago.
Babolat Pure Strike 18x20: 18x20 don't fit my game well
Yonex V CORE SV 98: never tried this one, a bit easier than dr98 and more control than dr100? It could be cool!

I have a dr100 and can't flatten my forehand with, I need less power and a bit more control.

Maybe new green ezone 98 ?

I too really like my ai's (2 98's and 1 100 lite). I surprisingly liked the Prince Warrior 100L I demoed a month ago a lot. I also like my Yonex Vcore tour f 97 . Very close to my ai 98. Maybe the new Wilson Ultra?

The AI 100 was a great frame that Yonex should have left alone. Anyways, I would consider demoing some Volkl Tweeners: V Sense 8 (both 300 & 315) & V Sense V1 Pro. Good luck in your search.

Could someone compare the sv98 with the dr100 and dr98?

Is the SV98 closer to the DR100 or DR98 in term of power and control?

Is the SV98 more forgiving than DR98?

Thank you

I just picked up my ai's in the last 2 months. 1 new and others off the big auction site in like new condition. 2 AO 100's just went for $100 each over weekend and looked to be in near new shape. Why not get more ai's if they were so great for your game?

Just bought a SV98 lite new for 50.- USD on an auction site!

Will add lead to the handle and 3&9 for a normal sv98 setup and test it asap.

I used ai100 for 2 years, I am now trying to decide between DR98 and Textreme Warrior, I would say that the warrior is a very close option to the ai 100, providing better backhands and better net play.

Did you try the SV98? I think it's closer to AI100 than DR98 or TXT warrior.

I received my SV98 light 2 days ago (288gr.) /Head weights 154gr.

Head size seems more 100 than 98, approx same size as my ai100, bigger than dr98.

I swaped the original grip for a Head leather Tour + tourna mega tac and added lead for a total of 6gr at 10&2.

Now the racket is at ~330gr (head 159), I will mesure the sw soon.

Strung with BHBR 1.25 at 42/40lbs, played 2 x 2 hours with it, I really liked it a lot, just ordered a 2nd one.

The racket feels very solid, I would say it plays a lot like my Angel TC95 16x19 70ra but the SV98 is more forgiving and I can hit flat easier.

I would rate serves, volley, spin shots as excellent.
Control, flat shots and slices are nice, not exceptionnal but very good.
I like the feel too, no problem with the stiffness or touch shots.
