But the swoosh was not to be dark purple??
It could have looked better, but maybe they just wanted it to look like those Wimbledon blankets you can get if you go.

This finally looks like Nike put some effort into a tennis shoe. Looks wise and cushioning wise. Will wait to see in person. They do look like your foot doesn’t sit close to the ground.

Like them aesthetically though. Good job Nike.

I agree. Sounds like they are finally putting proper cushioning in the midfoot and under the metatarsals.

Probably some sort of supply chain issue. Even NDC didn't post a men's version today but has stock of 6.5 - 10 sizes on the women's side
You got access to NDC? Are you talking the retailer’s NDC or the one us normal people use?

Ah, yes. That’s for business inquires, like shops, schools, etc.
I’ve always wondered what it’s deep, dark secrets are... what releases are waiting to be shown to the public. I imagine @Babolast has access lol.

This is an amazing update to the zoom zero. In one update they've solved pretty much every problem that shoe had.

- They've widened it
- better, more breathable upper.
- better midsole containment
- even better cushioning
- way better cosmetics.

All the colourways so far look great.

My only concern from a cosmetic standpoint is the overly geometric shape of that lateral container that wraps up over the midsole.

Other than that, it's a great shoe. I kind of feel sorry for people who stocked up on the original zoom zeros, this is just a much, much better shoe.

I really need to try it. It looks to have a similar rubber toe style similar to the cage 3, I’m worried about toe durability. But that midsole...:sneaky: it looks to be a possible gel res alternative for cushioning.

Interesting you mention the cage. I originally thought the GP was meant to be a more breathable version of the cage 4 with a possible react midsole. Turns out it was a ZZ upgrade with double-stacked zoom

Agree, the toe drag issue is an interesting one. Almost impossible to tell how much protection there is until the shoe is in hand and being tested but it looks a bit skint. Nike has done weird things with not protecting from toe drag in other recent tennis shoes (didn't like the way they put those faceted TPU bits on the vapor x knit).

I just stocked up on vapor X's for clay, and Fresh foam LAVs for HC (these are my two favourites since returning to tennis from quarantine), but there are a couple of the Turbo GP colourways that will be a must-buy for me as soon as they get released.

I remember the issues I’ve had with the cage 3, especially toe dragging. Nike fixed it with the 4 but the GP has possibly worse protection than the 3. But I’ll pick it up when they go retail and (hopefully) they work out.

I am going to get a pair to see how they compare to my basketball shoes. I had the Zoom Zero but it lacked responsiveness and felt clunky with the heal part sticking out.

I'm very interested in this, my feet are in agony lately so anything with cushioning is highly appealing. Actually just ordered a pair of zoom zeros too.

Got a pair on order coming! But I'm apprehensive because of the "snug medium" description on the width fit from TW's description page. I liked the Zoom Zeros, but was disappointed that the airbags popped in two of my pairs. I hope durability of the Zoom Air has been addressed.

I'm concerned that the colorway on the TW site isn't what's going to ship. Personally, i like the Wimbledon colorway. The description had no mention of green in it. Also, the men's shoes are available elsewhere but they are white with purple.... No green.

We talked to Nike to get an update on what the cosmetics are. We have updated our men's image to show white/purple with no green Swoosh. Our previous image was a sample shoe we were given.

Thanks,
Tiffani, TW

Yes. Just purple on the NDC. Let's see how it goes as I just ordered one. Not sure about the new herringbone modified pattern. The ZZ did pretty well on grass and clay for traction. The SW19 color is pretty sweet.

I take it there will be some laser fuchsia or hot lime clothes around the same time?

You bet there is! His entire '90 US Open attire including the shorts/spandex and loose fit flaming ball shirt. Plus Challenge Court t-shirts, hats, a bucket hat and warmup all retroed. It's gonna be an EXPENSIVE month for sure!!

Yeah the zip polo and jorts are definitely on my must buy list.

The big *** swoosh on the toe stops me from caring about this shoe. And that's good news cause I really don't need more tennis shoes for a while.

I know this is the current style, but these shoes come dangerously close to looking like “dad” shoes. Kinda clunky looking.
I think they look like the Nike Pegasus, they are almost a running shoe with a hard court outsole.

Just clarifying, you're talking about the 'What the Andre' shoe?

something is a similar colorway to this 1990 outfit.....

Toe looks "low" to me, and as I have issues with losing big toenails, I suspect I should stock up on the Zoom Zero before they are gone. Hopefully, someone will review the fit and that won't be the case.

Yup. I'd post a pic but I know the mods don't appreciate it so I won't. The color is listed as White/Laser Fushcia-Sapphire-Hot Lime. Basically think ATC III above with the Cerise (red) color from the ATC IV clothing. And a small flaming ball logo just in front of the Swoosh. The inside toe piece is Hot Lime. It's gonna be AWESOME!! It's a 1st day purchase for me, once I know what the sizing is like (tts or half up). Gotta wait a few weeks to see it.
