Young Boris used a adidas open throat wood frame then adidas gtx I think , then a puma vilas which he used the rest of his career with the super paint job . Then an estusa paint job for a hot second he did use a real estusa . Then switched to a head graphite pro for practice and exo matches then gave up and had his puma ( paint job super ) pressed out a large amount for himself and some others to be sold retail with no graphics only the same red and blue faded into each color paint scheme shared with his trusty puma “ super” ...just remember it want a real super it was the puma vilas under it all

Wasn't Becker using Puma before Vilas? Vilas went to the Puma frame post-Slazenger. Wow, these guys bounced around a lot.

Becker is even from another century so not interesting just as the racquet model he endorsed. That was a premium super wet noodle not suitable for playing tennis.

Becker’s frame that he used was a 59 Ra. The Puma Boris Becker Super was a 64 Ra . A racket built in 1984 with a stiffness in the mid 60,s is hardly a noodle let alone a wet noodle . If Becker has no interest to you Ron ... then GO AWAY .

i dont go away. I played once the blue Becker racquet. It did suck big time. Probably only made from cheap fibreglass and no graphite. No power at all. I think even the old wooden Maxply racquets played better The fact that boomboom Boris endorses a certain model doesnt mean it is a good racquet.

John would say that some people on this board cannot be serious.

Estusa owner was Jackson Tse. So He called it esT-USA.
Becker won AO 91 with Gripsy overgrip.
Becker also was close to a Nike contact in the 90s.
Becker was also very close to signing a contract with HEAD and the Graphite Pro TF was designed for him. In addition the Boris Becker World champion racquet was made by HEAD in Austria and the racquet Boris was using that was just blue and red with no writing was made for him by HEAD in Austria.

I had two Puma Boris Becker Supers with the adjustable handle; just read that the strung specs were around 364 grams static and 11 points hl with only a 310 sw. In my memory they were light and manoeuvrable serve volley racquets; I always wished that the handle adjustability was from 27” - 28”, not 26” - 27”, consequently I never really used this feature. In the end both racquets had a string loop on the outside of the frame at around 1 o’clock pull through the frame; I believe this was a not uncommon occurrence, along with rattling handles. I loved playing with them though. I remember playing some random pennant doubles match, receiving set point up against two right handers that were playing tandem - I’m a lefty - and accidentally sledge hammering a fashionably late off backhand off of a good serve down the middle back past the net man‘s backhand volley into the opposite doubles alley; both of the crowd applauded and just for a brief moment in time I was Boris - at least in mirror image. :-D
