Nadal still has a great shot at the GS record.

the thing i see is that its not only big 3 getting old, the youngsters are getting better, you can never stop counting on big 3 until they retire but i think theres gonna be more competition for slams

I honestly think that Rafa has one more GS at best and Novak possibly two. When the changing of guard does happen it can so very quickly.

To be honest if all three ended up on 21 i would be fine with that. As a Novak fan i respect Roger & Rafa immensely. I also do think that Novak would have more claim to be best of the big three based on all the other stats. But yes 21-21-21 would be fine with me.

Factually he still does, as I’m more hopeful now than yesterday. But it’s still a long way off. He’s still got to show he can comeback at the French and then he can win at other slams.

And this is on the basis that he doesn’t suffer more injury. Who’s to say Novak won’t win all four next year.

He’s going to need more help from Medvedev & Tisitipas for sure

It will be difficult for any of the big 3 to win another slam. Rafa best bet is french and Novak’s is Wimbledon now. Still if neither win again it won’t surprise me. Fed is done for sure.

I think Nadal has a chance to temporarily have the most Grand Slams of all time by reaching 21 if Djokovic doesn't win AO and Nadal wins FO... but after all is said and done and the big three have retired, it's likely Djokovic will end up having the most titles. Federer is done... there's no way he's going to pull another 2017 and come back from injury and win... he's over 40 now. Nadal really only has a significant chance at FO, while Djokovic should continue to have many chances at all of the Slams for at least another few years. Yeah, he lost today... but he still just won 3 Slams this year. Why would anyone think he will suddenly be incapable of winning any more slams after today's loss?

i think it is 50 : 50 between djokovic and nadal. after djokovics loss today he will get a lot of motivation and believe.

Nadal is only relevant at the French at this point assuming he gets back to full health. Other than next years French his chances of winning anything else are slim to none. Federer is done at this point. It will be interesting to see where Djokovic goes from here. I enjoyed seeing him take a beating today.

IMO, at this point, Nadal only has a chance at 2 more FOs - assuming he's relatively healthy. That COULD secure the most Grand Slams, but it seems Novak has chances at ALL Grand Slams at least for the next two years.

Spot on my sentiments exactly

We simply cannot predict, we really can't because anything could happen. Injuries and a very rough draw being the most likely.

At the start of this year I had the following:

AO: Djokovic over the field
RG: Nadal over the field
W: Djokovic over the field
USO: The field over Djokovic

Now I got 3 out of 4 (not difficult when you consider who they are).

It's still 4 months away and a lot could happen. Assuming everyone is back close to full fitness then for next year I have it as follows:

AO: The field over Djokovic (age primarily)
RG: Nadal over the field (I just don't see anyone other than Djokovic being able to soak up that FH topspin pressure - even though Nadal is old)
W: Djokovic tied with the field (age reasons again and not many good grass courters)
USO: The field over the big 3 combined

Nadal has one big run in him I feel, I think next year he will be back refreshed and with a mission on his mind. Thus year it's not like he had a horrible year it's just that he had a bad loss in semis to a GOATing champion apart from that he won a masters reached qf atleast at 2 majors he played one with bad back. Only his body needs to be fully fit tennis will follow I feel

In all the above predictions, it depends if either Nadal or Djokovic is not there in Wimbledon then Fed still has a chance if he is healthy but a big if.

Nadals physical condition worries me. But if he is fully fit then he's heavy favourite at FO, and also a threat at other slams

If Medvedev were to go on a winning streak and Nadal were to win a few more French Opens it would be possible for Nadal to wind up with the most Grand Slams. We will just have to wait and see if the younger players can start winning Grand Slams. Djokovic's best GS is AO and Nadal's best is FO - it is going to be interesting to see if anyone can defeat them at those two slams next year.

it's been happening since 2014 from everything I've heard over the years.

I have not said it though as i didn't believe next gen were ready. I think there are some signs now they are almost there and with the decline of big 3 it won't be too long
