    Roger's Helicopter Forehand...

I know the vast majority of players (Roger included) do use the over the head forehand follow through every now and again, mostly when on the run and they need a little extra whip on the ball... but watching Roger play a couple of times this week he has been using that follow-through...

Mutua Madrileña Madrid Open ATP World Tour Masters 1000

Giraldo just fed Isner a tasty breadstick in a little over 20 mins.

    Giraldo v. Ferrero

took care of llodra quite comfortably, most likely Tsonga next. could be a fun match to watch... both just going for broke on every single shot!

    Giraldo v. Ferrero

he's clearly dangerous but his technique off both wings and his movement doesn't fill me with confidence... but i guess it doesn't have to be pretty as long as it gets the job done.

    Giraldo v. Ferrero

^^^ 6-0 2-0 now... not gonna be handed a bagel or breadstick, at least not in the 2nd set.

    Giraldo v. Ferrero

1st Return points won: 91% not even God-mode Federer can put up those kinds of stats! he's clearly in the zone but it's only a matter of time before he starts missing a few of those winners and it all starts to fall apart.

which player will stop nadal in clay season?

i'll stick my neck out for an outsider: Thomaz Bellucci. tall lefty with a big serve and a whippy forehand, had decent form in the south american swing, and a good run in Miami. 2008 Roland Garros he was actually the player that got the most games off Nadal the whole tournament.

    Nadal-Tsonga payback demolition!!!

good point, but even before he got his serve broken, he was clearly irritated by it, and afterwards too you could see it in his face... he would get ready to return serve, get in position and then stand up staright again, waiting for nadal to finish his pre-serving routine. yeah, it's mental...

    Nadal-Tsonga payback demolition!!!

the umpire is clearly an idiot. Tsonga worked his ass off to move nadal around and get him out of breath, and then nadal takes all the time he wants. you cannot tell me that it was not an issue. as far as tsonga needing to man up, he shouldn't have to in that respect. the rules are there for...

    Nadal-Tsonga payback demolition!!!

nobody mentions the time issue?!?! Tsonga was dominating Nadal at the beginning, and yes, he failed to take advantage of a lot of break points... but there can be no question that Tsonga was clearly irritated by Nadal taking more than the 25 seconds allowed between points. some will say that...

verdasco - the ultimate dark horse

that's not really a fair assessment, now is it? fair enough about the net game but the serve and backhand?!? he can serve huge when he wants to and has great variety, he just doesn't use it very often and ends up hitting 3/4 serves a lot of the time. His backhand is solid and if he gets a...
