Jay I personally don't think Kish or big dangerous should be given final points they should be scratched in semis! No offence to anyone but here's why!
Today the 3 of us had two picsk left Matosevic or Lopez I picked Matosevic and lost they didn't pick! So by the time you came on Matsosevic lost so only pick left was Lopez! I kind of feel they have benefited through staying quiet (not saying it was intentional at all but it is how it's worked out)

Of course you're obviously from the perspective of someone who gambled and took Matosevic over Nishikori so you could have a chance to win the whole tournament. That didn't happen for you, and you are obviously disappointed. I can safely say there's no way in hell I would have picked Matosevic over Nishikori, unless it was my only option.

Well that maybe the case but! Without having made a pick there is no evidence to back that up! Technically you did have two picks remaining yesterday!
As I said before not saying you guys did this intentionally I believe that but you have benefitted from staying quiet! If Lopez was the only man you had left before the matches started yesterday it would have been different!

Okay first of all, chill out with the exclamation points.
Secondly, yeah part of what you're saying is true, however the warning from Jay Chu didn't come until after the Matosevic Nishikori match had started and possibly even ended since it was a retirement. So at the time of said warning, we could have only picked Lopez anyway. I don't really see the benefit of staying quiet, because if I had looked at the draw to make picks I would have seen that the only two picks I had left were either Matosevic over Nish, or Lopez over Istomin. And as I already stated I would have certainly picked Lopez over Istomin. I've not been playing this game to win as of late, I've been playing much more conservatively. I'm content just to make a deep run in tournaments. I acknowledge the fact that I should have made a pick, but hey, by the time the warning came out, the only pick I could have made was Lopez.
We can go 10 rounds about this, but I think what's best is just to let it go and move on. Maybe see if we can implement rules that are clearer about this issue and similar issues just so it doesn't happen in the future.

As I say let's leave this to Jay to decide what is the best way to proceed we are responsible for our own picks so the timing of the warning should not have mattered,
I really do not believe you did this on purpose you are a great poster who I have lots of respect for but I just want to see the rules implemented properly otherwise what is the point?
I could skip Dubai but say every single pick I would have mady anyway so therefore should win! Maybe I would have made those picks maybe I wouldn't but without actually making them we will never know, the same applies here.

OK, so let's clear up the air here. I definitely did not expect this after I left.
While both kishnabe and Big_Dangerous did have Matosevic and Lopez remaining, they opted not to choose from the Matosevic-Nishikori match since I saw no posts from them before the start of the match.
My post was to remind them to make their picks before the 2nd semi started since I saw they had made no picks yet. After seeing that they didn't choose from Matrosevic-Nishikori, I stated that they had Lopez remaining as their picks since they obviously could not choose Istomin. As players, it is your job to actually make the post to say that you're going to choose X player from Day 1 to the Semi-Finals round (this doesn't happen in the finals since we automatically populate whatever pick you have remaining).
For kishnabe, I'll allow him to keep the Lopez pick because he did make the post before the start of the match (Match was set to start at 4:00PM EST and by my time stamp, he posted 20 minutes after I made my post).
For Big_Dangerous, I am not going to allow it. As stated, it is your job as the player to make the actual post (or to confirm the pick from my post that I made). Had you done that, it would have been allowed. I'm sorry Big_Dangerous, but I am going to need to void your semi-finals pick.

I agree regarding a final it is different I just feel when at the start of the day someone has more than one pick they should confirm it which is why I think it's fair that Kish's pick stands and BD is scratched.
BD it was nothing personal mate but I do want to see the rules implemted properly as I am sure you do too

So how does that work? Points that people earned off the wins are added to the score, or killed if no one wins?

Well, another edition of the SDL event has been completed. No winners for this event, but congrats to all those that made it to the final day.
Some small movements in the Top 10 Rankings. jamesblakefan#1 moves back up to number 3. Locotus moves back into the Top 5. JadeC drops down to number 7.
In the Race, rainingaces takes sole possession of first place while ******** is now in 2nd place.
