2015 ATP Sudden Death League: Basel

2015 Basel - Semifinals

[1] R Federer (SUI) or [8] D Goffin (BEL) vs. J Sock (USA)
[3] R Nadal (ESP) vs. [5] R Gasquet (FRA)

League File - 24 remain - No back-ups needed in semis and beyond.

I think it would still be wise to back up the main picks in the semis too. For example in this tournament, if I choose Federer as my SF pick and don't choose a back up I may get eliminated if someone retires before the match and I don't come online and choose my alternate pick in time because I haven't used Gasquet or Nadal previously so it would not be clear who I want I want as my main pick.

I see your point there - I'll quit saying it isn't necessary to pick a back-up. You can win via a walkover in the semis and finals but if you pick a guy that is the one that gives the walkover having a back-up would come in handy.

Hall of Fame
Race to London has been updated after Basel.

Congratulations to PDJ, CDNguy87, Locotus, kvejkr, JJGUY, GhostDog and romeo8880 for officially clinching 7 out of the 8 spots for the Top 8 World Tour Final Bonus Competition. Voriad currently holds the 8th and final spot by a decent margin, but there are still several others who can knock him out of it with a deep run in Paris.

For those a bit further down in the Race, keep in mind if somebody in the Top 8 does not make their pick for the Bonus Competition, they will be replaced by the highest-ranking alternate (e.g: whoever is #9 in the Race). It seems like GhostDog hasn't made any picks since the US Open, so if he (or anyone else in the Top 8) doesn't show up, #9 in the Race could end up being the crucial position, and there are still a lot of people in contention for that at the moment.

Of all the tournaments I forget to make a SF pick for, it's the one that turned out to be a cake-walk.
