Adding a natural "lefty-spin" to inside-out forehands

I've been able to place most of my inside-out forehands with increasing consistency but never with the pace and more importantly the natural "lefty-spin" that the pros are able to apply.

I've heard of a multitude of techniques which can be applied to attain a more aesthetically pleasing inside-out forehand that can be reliably called upon. I'd like to know which one works best for you, and if none of them, what does?

1) Taking the ball late (this seems to have the effect of not allowing your racket to wrap the ball around as much and send it to the outside court instead)
2) Applying outside spin via brushing the ball in the opposite direction (right to left) while striking it (seems good in theory but I find it extremely hard to apply, especially when attempting to generate a good amount of pace and topspin)
3) Opening your body up more (allows you to directionally control your shot via the way you are facing but seems "read-able" and does not give your shot a natural inside-out spin)
4) Leaving your wrist open on contact (once again a consistent way to achieve direction but seems dangerous via the risk of injury)

What works best for you? Please leave your opinions here.
