Inside out dropshots

Dropshots are more effective when hitting inside out from both wings because the spin always takes the ball in the inside out direction after the bounce. On a righty's backhand inside out dropshot, the ball will spin to the opponent's right and on a forehand IO dropshot, the ball will spin to the opponent's left. Crosscourt droppers don't get that extra side bounce that inside outs do so for effective dropshots, go inside out.

This would be especially effective on the forehand side because when people see their opponent run around to hit a forehand, they are usually expecting a blast, not a dropper.

And against this kind of drop shot the opponent will have to deal with the higher part of the net!

Rickson, good point.
An endorsement from Mahboob is always a good thing. I had such a good spin on an inside out backhand dropshot that it landed about 2 inches inside the sideline, but the ball bounced several inches outside the sideline giving my opponent no chance to reach the ball. He even asked if the ball landed in or out because the extreme side bounce gave him the optical illusion that the ball may have landed out. I told him that the ball was well within the line, but the bounce took the ball out that far. Inside out droppers with an extreme side bounce are one of tennis' magic tricks.

if you hit a drop shot with the perfect parabolic arch, it wont matter if its a normal/crosscourt/inside out drop shot... as long as u get that and enough spin, it wont bounce forward too much.
That and taking all the pace off the ball.
