Advice on racket

I had a Wilson NCode N1. It was powerful but ridiculously light (9 ounce). I developed tennis elbow.

I'm looking for a new racket. I play mostly doubles. I would like maximum power but arm friendly.

My playing standard is about 4.0. Not very powerful, but get a lot back. Mostly play from the baseline.

Any suggestions?

so you play a retriever/pusher style of play?

Just seems odd that a 4.0 plays mostly from the baseline in doubles, but anyway

Go for some of the pure drives if your looking for power, and the kzenmsurge and npro open are good also

yes that is an odd mix - for "max" power I assume you want an OS frame so take a look at the 03/speedport red/blue. I've heard they are pretty powerful.

When I said I play mostly the baseline, I will be at the net 1 up 1 back when my partner is serving or receiving. I definately don't serve volley, but will come to net behind a good approach shot. Is that surprising? In the modern era with power rackets, having both at the net is a hazardous practice unless you have a very good serve, approaches and both have good volleys and overheads.

I've often beaten people with technically superior strokes who charge the net but would have flogged me if they stayed 1 up 1 back.

I hope I haven't misrepresented my play by the way. In Australia, we don't have your rating system. I looked it up on the net and 4.0 seemed fair enough. From what I can tell, 4.0 doesn't seem that hard to achieve. 5.0 looks way beyond me. The day I reach 5.0 is the day I buy Federer's racket.
