I cant find the information I'm looking for on the Aerogel 300. I did demo it but the strings were so crusty and low tensioned, I didnt get a good practice with it. Does it really have that much power and control than the mfil 300? and has anybody tried it with pro hurricane tour? I'm pretty sure money isnt an option, so should I buy it or just another mfil?

please any info. will help

thanks

Go read some of the comment in the Mfil 300 threads, they are mixed in. Yea, it is a racket designed by God himself. it is the best racket i have ever tried. gets 10's in all departments. of except, i wish they had made this in 27.5 inch version as well. the swingweight on this is relatively light so making it little longer would not make the swingweight go up that much. All kidding aside, i really do believe, this racket is the best racket for 1-handed backhand, it basically made my 1-hander go up a level. Before my backhand was a pretty much a neutral shot, but now it is a weapon. also great on the serve, 9/10, and returns 9/10, volleys 9/10, Overhead 9/10, Groundies 8-9/10, half volleys 10/10, Forehand 8-9/10, backhand 10/10. Does this help?:D

match....i hope it does have more power than mfil 300, because i put in a lot more than i get out of, power wise at least, in mfils...control is great tho.

Yes it does have more power, must be the aerogel. Mfil 300 power 6/10, Aerogel power 8/10

I don't know, i have a 1-hander, but why not 2-hander, i don't see any reason why it wouldn't work for that ? and I have tried pro Hurr tour, i like it better than Big banger alu power cause it is much softer feel and it gives you great spin. but lately Luxilon released the Alu power Fluoro, i have strung my last racket with it and i will hit with it this wednesday. I heard it is the best string by Luxilon by far. who knows ?;) and ask Jonolou what he thinks of Aerogel 300, he has both aero and Mfil and he likes both, he would know well too.

I've heard the same thing, but do you sacrifice control with this added power?

That is just it, more power but i thought you get just as good of control, i felt i was getting pinpoint accuracy on my shots. Especially on my backhand, i always had problem with high big kick serve to my backhand but with this racket, i am handling kick serve with no problems. I can drill it back on the feet of oncoming serve and volleyer. :D

Yeah, in the 2 months I've had my aerogel 300 I've only lost 5 matches, 3 were to people that used it as well (not that thats implying anything;) )
Great power, really great control, I really like the feel, its made for hitting great serves and volleys as well as flat or spinny strokes, slices stay low, overall very great racket.
I've recieved compliments from just about everyone on my team, of how much more consistent I've become (something I give the racket credit for over my switch to it from the PD+) as I rose from 5th doubles on JV last year to 1st singles/1st doubles this year (still JV).
Try the racket again, this time you might get better strings. And if money isn't an issue, why not get the best ;)
