Agnieszka Radwanska not mentally tough as I thought she was.

I have nothing but respect for Radwanska after that match. She fights to the death. The match looked like it was slipping away at the start of the second and she got it back even. Losing the 3-0 lead in the third set is no big deal. The match was almost always on Lisicki making or missing. You can't blame Radwanska for lack of power in her groundies, that's just how she plays. The powder puff second serve could be worked on, I guess.

Aga really wanted this match, but I hope Aga and her coach watch the tape of this match. Aga really needs a bigger serve, she can do it, Justine Henin did it and she's smaller than Aga. Aga is five foot eight she isn't a small woman she doesn't need to get muscular.

Everyone knows Aga wants to win a grand slam and today she certainly was more aggressive against Lisicki and she did fight hard, I give Aga credit for that.

But today's loss, Aga must realize some changes need to be made if she wants to win a major.

A better serve, especially a better second serve can only help her.

If Aga can hit her serves even 5 to 10 miles per hour faster she would be extremely difficult to beat.

Hard to win a major with a 60mph second serve against todays top players. Strategies that revolve around waiting for your opponent to miss, rather then stepping up and taking it, don't work very well either. She is very good at what she does untill she runs into someone who can keep the power level up, with consistency.

She can't hit the ball hard enough. That's her problem.

No idea how she even gets to #4 as it is. Her problem is that at any point in the match, if her opponent gets into the zone, they'll beat her into oblivion.

Interestingly the percentage of points won behind the second service was higher for Aga than for Sabine (50% versus 41%), however the opposite is true for the first service (60% versus 66%).

True, but her consistency and mental toughness got her to where she is. She may rely on wearing people out, but it works.

How do you know she hasn't been addressing them?

Getting mowed down by players who mix skill with strength?

It is clear she's no different now that she was in the Wimbledon final one year ago, and in that time, pro trainers could have added on muscle and the proper use of she strength gained.

I believe she's too satisfied with herself and the "she's a smart player" myth/hype--so much that Lisicki--someone who was never as highly praised--proved the point made here: that the combination of skill and strength can beat one who rests on her alleged strategy alone.

I hope Aga wins a grand slam one day she's my favourite player, it would be great for the WTA if Aga wins a grand slam. Since Aga does poorly in New York, I guess I will have to hope she breaksthrough next year.

But this year, Aga hasn't played great her game has gone down a bit even the commentators said this.

I would not bet on that if I were you.

C'mon people, please understand the difference of choking and simply being outplayed.

Serena losing to Sabine while she had 3-0 on set #3 is choking.

I said I hope, Aga has improved so much, this year has been a bit disappointing Aga hasn't been in a WTA final since January and that's just strange.

Aga I hope can continue to work hard and improve if she wants to win a grand slam she must be aggressive.

I feel against Lisicki Aga WAS aggressive she just lost to the better player in the end. Hopefully this lights a fire in Aga and she works hard to get her first grand slam singles title.

The serve was the key to this match Lisicki just killed Aga's serve. Aga needs to improve her second serve it is the only way.

I am sure Radwanska's serve sure could be better but Lisicki did take out Serena who probably has the best serve in women's tennis. So, Lisicki can handle the big serves.
