Allen Fox was a top 10 American player back in the 60's beat all four grand slam winners at the Pacific Southwest, also writes for Tennis Magazine and has authored four books. He's also one of the consulting coaches for those One Minute Clinics on The Tennis Channel. Found this interview with him about his career and latest book. A good solid read. I like this guy, he is an intellectual and always enjoy reading his works from Tennis Magazine and the old Tennis Week magazines. Some very good insights here...

Interesting--

Strangest Match: “Maybe the finals of the Masters tournament in St. Petersburg, FL on the old Caribbean circuit. Played Niki Pilic. I’d win the first set, lose the second 6-0 or 6-1, win the third, lose the fourth 6-0 or 6-1, then win the fifth. It was hot and I was very tired so I was tanking sets to conserve energy.”
