Hi. I was wondering if theres any good free beginner instructional video. I'm looking to work on my fundamental and any kind of good video would help.

A video on grip would also be great for me since I am fairly unsure of my grip and written instructions tend to be a little unclear.

Free, huh. Is it that you can't afford $30? Are you a student? dont have a job? Have you tried the library? You might be able to find some good basic Vic Braden tapes in the library. At the beginner level, his are pretty good.

Oh I forgot our resident researcher Marcius can help you find things. There are several sites with clear grip explanations. Also, try visiting www.uspta.com for possible free material. I haven't looked through the site in a long time.

clear enough for you? ;) There are lots of postings with videos, and check out the sticky on the tips and instruction page.

There is a search button, click and and click advanced serach. Click titles only and type videos. Highlight on the right side tips and instruction. You'll find lots of videos.

thanks for the links. i went through a lot of them. one question though, which grip seems to produce more consistent hits? does semi-western grip give consistency in keeping the ball the play?

Consistency is mainly from how you swing, your conditioning, how you prepare, etc... Each grip has its pros and cons. If I were to pick a grip, my preference is for the SW.
