Any tennis elbow issues with K Blade Tour?

I hit with this racket the other day and was controlling the ball so well. Slices felt great. Loved the way this racket feels with the thin beam and the ability to whip the racket head through.

I'm interested in a few things and I know there's been threads galore. I want to know: since I've had some tennis elbow issues, what would be the best type of string and best tension to maximize power of the frame and reduce chances of tennis elbow at the same time?

Also, if I were to put a little lead on frame, is the best place 9 and 3 since that's where TW's power map suggests it is weakest at? Thanks.

Finally, does anyone know why Wilson chose not to make a K Blade Tour 93 that also had the 16 X 19 string pattern? I don't understand why they wouldn't do this. People seem to think this racket does everything pretty great except for giving great topspin access. Wouldn't the same specs (weight, beam width, racket head size, etc.) work for this racket in a 16 X 19 string pattern? And wouldn't that produce a little more pop as well?

I have no problem with topspin =P

In terms of tennis elbow all I can say is I play this racquet with poly in it and have no problems at all, fells very comfortable, but I am young so...

I play at 52 Lbs. thinking about going 51 just to see how it feels. You kind of get that trampoline feel except you still have great touch.

I'm 38 and got golfer's elbow from KBT using wilson sensation 16 @ around 55lbs. I tried it for a few months and happy with how it plays except for the comfy issue. It has a flex rating of 65.

I'm using black ace 93 now which is the pretty much the same shape as the KBT but has a flex rating of 58-59.

EDIT: A few others on the forum have mentioned that KBT hits well but can be a bit harsh on the arm / wrist. But if you are young or have arms of steel. Give it a try.

+1 but i had PSGD 17g @ ~60. Skimming thru some other thread, I think Spence from TW also had some issues tho not sure if he had it prior. I know others are ok with it but i think its extremely low SW has disastrous effects on some esp if it was a significant change from what one was using. And I'm sure there are numerous other factors involved as well. But safe to say more than 1 player feels this stick could potentially be injury-inducing.

Btw the KBT is a rather stiff one but its got a nice hefty wt imo.

Hey, i am glad you chose the racquet because your games will surely improve a lot. The KBlade Tour is definitely for serious players. It's very easy to swing and i am sure that all the KBlade Tour fans will agree with me this frame can drive the ball very accurately. It's great for all: powerful forehand, 1 handed back hand, serve, volley. Do you happen to know that for a racquet with string pattern 18x20, the strings should be 17g or 18g? because if you use the 16g strings with this KBT, you won't see much of the ball bites. I personally use the full Tecnifibre Pro Red Code 17g at 53 lbs and :no string movements during games, great power without lossing control, and this string lasts like forever. I break this string in almost 4 months. If you have stringing machine at home, i suggest you use the Tecnifibre Pro Red Code 18g, or Luxilon Timo 18g, and i know for sure you will love the feel of it. If you like to mix, try Cross with Pro Red Code 17g at 53 lbs and Main with Gosen Micro 16g at 56 lbs. Of course you can use other syn gut if you like but keep the tension like that and you'll love it. If adding 3 to 6g lead tape at 12 (to help increasing more power or plow thru) is too heavy for you, don't worry because you don't need to, and all you do is take off the leather grip and use any regular replacement grip. This will slightly reduce the weight at the handle and lower the headlight balance. I hope my opinion can help you to get the most out of this racquet. Enjoy it because i know you will try to get a few more. Peace!

I've had success with a Babolat Pure Storm Tour with the old Maxim Touch 17 anywhere from 55-59 pounds. I had GE bad last year.

Tennis elbow usually occurs when you bend your elbow a lot. It's a misconception that the vibration travels to your elbow. I found that my elbow started to ache a bit after using the aeropro drive as I do more forearm snapping to get more of that kicking spin. I had no issues with the KBT and elbow problems though.
