Anyone try Yonex Supergrap in yellow?

I'm a believer in white overgrips being superior. I tried black and it wore out and starting pilling way too fast.

But after trying Yonex's wavegrap, I realize I really like having a bright overgrip color. Gives me energy when I am feeling tired lol. Does anyone have experience to compare it to the white version? does it last as long? thanks.

I must be doing it wrong. I've got about 5-6 colours of the Yonex and don't notice a substantial difference in the life or tackiness of any of them. I have pink, orange and green on my three racquets at the moment. All look pretty good on the 2019 Gravity.

I've only used the white supergrap. But I don't like the other colors.

However, I can say that Yonex's yellow/green Dry Grap is excellent as well. So, maybe it wouldn't be too bad.

-im also not able to tell the differences between the colors
-ive tried just about all the ones from yonex,
-i mainly care that i have a fresh o-grip on the racquets, about a couple weeks
-BTW, the RED turned out to be more "pink", eraser PINK to be exact!!

-i do prefer the white vs the color ones, easier to tell when the o-grips get dirty
-my least favorite is the BLACK, because of that reason ^

-durability of o-grips are never a real concern for me
-o-grips get dirty on me, way before they shred

@ryushen21 I agree, yonex's dry grap is great, which i only tried in green.

@1HBH wow that's good to know. i thought about getting the red too cause I really like the shade, but eraser pink....boo. yeah the white one gets dirty before it shreds, but the black one pilled up pretty quickly for some reason. maybe i just got unlucky or was playing extra hard when I tried it? shrug.

The Dry Grap is by far the best grip for the summer here in Texas. I just wish that Yonex would sell the dry grap in 12 pack.

IMO there are only two colors of Super Grap (also applied to Wilson Pro)
  1. White
  2. not White
Maybe it's based on how much you sweat, but for me the colors just don't last as long as the white does. However...I am intrigued to try this color since I missed it the first time around:

Is it marketed as "fugly"?

I'd forgotten those shorts (probably a self-defence mechanism in my brain). Stan has worn some dreadful stuff over the years. Probably can't just blame him though, as some of the Yonex stuff Hurcasz is wearing is of similar style.

I found the plaid Supergrip much less tacky and absorbent than the white version.

I have tried a few colors of the supergrap - white, black and green. Never tried the yellow. my favorite is the white. There is another overgrip I tried in yellow, it's called Volkl V Dry and I liked that a lot, just to relate the color question you brought up with yellow. I have a feeling the yonex yellow at least feels close to the volkl. Black is very slippery after a couple of hours. Green is somewhat tacky.

I find yellow to be among the most tacky, just as much as white. Darker colors like navy and black are among the least. Everything else like the green, blue and orange are sort of just in the middle. I have all of em as super grap is my favorite OG.

Used to use the yellow exclusively (cuz it matched my racquet at the time) worked fine. No difference.

black, red, green, blue, purple, yellow, plaid... i have tried em
funny that each one can be slightly different
but ultimately white's tack and durability is best.

I prefer the white ones - they are the softest and most durable. Yellow and orange seem similarly soft, but don’t seem to last quite as long (could be placebo). The other colors are terrible IMO.

Used yellow, black, and white. Yellow felt just like white to me. Black actually felt surprisingly good as well.
