I'm new to USTA and played my first men's 3.0 league this spring. Today I got an email that the early season rankings were out and I've been bumped to 3.5.
The problem is that I'm not sure this seems correct. I've only been playing a year (picked up tennis again last year after only playing as a kid) and most of my matches were line 2 or 3 doubles. I played with a few different people during the season and we won 7 of 8 matches, but none of these guys got bumped up. That's what leaves me puzzeled. Several other players on my team that are as strong or stronger than me didn't get bumped.
My question is really about the appeal process. Does anyone know how an appeal is evaluated? Also, given my short time playing does it seem like I have a good case for an appeal?
