Babolat grip size

I have an APD with the standard black syntec grip, size 4 1/2. I find this slightly too large, with an overgrip it is definitely too large. I am now planning to buy the PD Cortex. What grip size should i get? My dealer doesn't have all sizes in stock, so I would appreciate some advice. Used with an overgrip, (tournagrip), will it be necessary to go down to 4 1/4? I hear the Babolat grips may be larger than the numbers suggests.

One more question; Used with an overgrip, I think the soft syntec grips have a tendency to get "rounded off" too much. I like to feel the bevels of the grip. I therefore consider replacing the syntec grip with the Babolat leather grip, and use tournagrip over the leather grip. How will that affect the grip size? Is the leather grip thicker than the syntec grip ?

I've always thought Babolats grip sizes were about normal. My 4 1/2 Aeropro felt just right with a overgrip. The Prince racquet I had with a 4 1/2 grip felt smaller. If 4 1/2 with a single overgrip is too big then drop to 4 3/8 with a single overgrip. Then again I'm not sure exactly what size grip you are trying to use.

i have a babolat with grip 4 5/8. which is grip size #5. I think what you have is grip size #4. so try and go for 4 3/8 grip size #3.

Whhen i first had a deal with them i couldn't demo racket in my size but the factory told us that due to the design they said people often found they should go down a size, worked for me.

babolat grips do tend to run one size larger than, say, wilson or prince, so i usually use a 1/4 on normal racquets, but go down to a 1/8 with babolat

I have two babolats and both of their grips are about 1/2-1 grip size larger. My normal grip size is 4 3/8. That's why i got 4 1/4s.
