How many variations of the Pure Control were there?

Pure Control 98 standard (swirly and non-swirly)?
Pure Control 98 plus (swirly and non-swirly)?
Pure Control Team 100 standard?
Pure Control Team 100 plus?

Was there a Pure Control Team 98 standard and/or plus?

Just trying to make sure I'm making the right recommendation for one of my travel team players.

Both the 98 and the 100 were called the Pure Control Team. However, the 100 added "MP" to its designation. Both the 98 and the 100 came in std length and extended length. The 98 was 320g unstrung (around 11.8 strung), while the 100 was slightly lighter (around 11.6 strung). The 100 was also slightly more flexible than the 98, which had around a 70 RDC rating.

The "swirly" version refers to the 2001 version of the Pure Control with the lava graphics that preceded the aforementioned Team line. Thae 2001 version was a 98, came in both std and plus length, also had the Woofer grommets, and was heavier and a bit more flexible than the Team 98 (330g/66 RDC -- both figures unstrung specs).

If you want to go further back, there's also a VS Control model as well.

You can go further back than that. I had a circa 1997 version which had a very egg shaped head. It was quite a while ago that I stumbled across it on the auction site, tried it out for a while and then sold it off.

Specs were something like 340g, 27.5, 63ra, 18 x 20 string pattern, 97" egg shaped head and no woofer grommets. Feel was fantastic due to the weight and flex. Someone more knowledgeable than me can probably provide more info, as it has been discussed here long ago.
