$2700 plus shipping. I just ordered a new Prince 6000 and I don't want un-matching machines.

So you'll soon have two (or more) Prince 6000's? Very nice. Congrats on the new machine.

I have a SAM Pro-Master - same machine that the Wilson Stringing Team used a couple of years ago, and I absolutely love it. The Prince 6000 looks very similar to my SAM. In fact, the turntable and the mounting system look identical.

By the way, from what I've gathered here and over at GSS, it seems like your stringing business is growing and that you have signed up quite a few tournaments this year. Do you have a web site for your company? If so, let me know the URL as I'd like to check it out.

Take care.

The legion of Prince 6000s is growing. Mine should be here the middle of this month, but I will have mismatched machines :( If I like it though and they continue the buying program to get a cheap PTC with the machine purchase, I'll probably add a second one in the next six months to a year.

i am in western new york. i frequently visit dayton ,oh. thats would be a pretty driveable meeting spot if you were still interested.

Hey Lindsay. I live in south Dayton. Other than the year-round tropical weather, what brings you to the great city of Dayton frequently? :)

All kidding aside, I love Dayton - it is a great city with plenty of great tennis. My son and I play at South Regency Tennis Center in Miamisburg. If you are ever looking to hit when you are in town, let me know.

Take care.

David,

This is one of those Twilight Zone moments. We used to live in Springboro and my husband was the director at SRTC from 2004-2007. We frequently visit one of the club members, hence why we're in Dayton from time to time.

Small world.

I took a break from tennis for about eight years due to some shoulder problems and starting a family, busy career, etc. I just started playing again last summer and just joined SRTC in September. So... I am still kind of new to the club and missed the time period when your husband was there. I am sure many of the guys I hit with (many are long-time members) know you and your husband.

It doesn't sound like you'll need someone to hit with when in town, but even if you did, I am going to retract my offer to hit with you. I checked out your site last night (very nice, by the way) and your tennis credentials are far too impressive for a guy like me to be on the court with you. :) I'm playing in a 4.0 league at SRTC - not a scrub but not at your level either.

Take care.

$ 2700 is too much for your machine. I have seen your **** listing. Already 700 racquets strunged with this machine + a crack in the body. Sorry, but no interest for this price.

The SAM is a great machine, they were made in the town I live in. They only make ball machines now :(

Yes, I love my SAM!

Where do you live?

Xtreme Sports Machines took over the distribution of the SAM machines. They have a Pro Master machine that is almost identical to the SAM Pro Master - just a different color scheme.

Xtreme Sports Machines is based in Australia, and they still help service SAM machines. I bought my SAM used (only about 30 racquets strung on it by the original owner), and unfortunately, the LCD went on the blink shortly after I got it. The guys at Xtreme were very helpful and sold me a replacement LCD. Now, it's all good.

Take care.

Ok - thanks. That is not too far from me - I live in Dayton, OH.

Did Master Sports just market and distribute them, or did they actually manufacture them? I guess I was under the impression the machine was probably manufactured in Taiwan, Japan, or somewhere in East Asia.

Thanks.

Master Sports use to be the distributor of the SAM stringing machines, and when they gave up their distributor to xtremesportsmachines, the SAM in Ft. Wayne were selling off all their machines on the big auction site, as that was how I purchased my Pro Master machine. It was brand new, sent from Ft. Wayne, just no warranty was all. Been a fantasitc machine, as I was going to purchase a Star 5, but when this came along, it was way worth my while. For what I paid for this machine, I was glad I did not get the star 5, as this fits the bill for what I needed. It holds the racquet solid with its mounting system, the electronic tension head pulls spot on every time I checked it with a calibrator, even though it is self calibrating, and the machine makes stringing a pleasure.

Hey Jim! Thanks for the clarification about Master Sports.

My club has a Star 5 in the pro shop, and I've checked it out very closely on several occasions. It is certainly a fine machine, but I don't see what, if anything, it has on our SAM's. In fact, from a purely aesthetics standpoint, I'll take my SAM over a Star 5 any day of the week. I'm sure many will disagree with me - just my $0.02.

Take care.

Loving it! How is the biking going for you?

DH

I was stringing a frame with my super crappy 15-yr old dropweight yesterday and a single tear ran down my cheek.

The cycling is going well although it is slow to get fast. I'm in the market for a rear wheel if you know anyone looking to sell one. ;)
