Ball machine and Stringing machine

I would like to know, as the owners of the Ball machine do you also have a stringing machine? Playing several times a week, I would figure that a racquet would need to be restrung.

Yes. I have both. The Tennis Tutor was new when I bought it. It’s the AC/DC with full function remote. Love it.

The stringer was a fluke. My auction hunter neighbor found it and I thought what the heck. It’s Omega pedestal with spring tension. Works great. I do rackets for others too

Yes. Practicing against the machine a few times each week wears out strings fast so I get a chance to try different methods and products. It’s enjoyable.

Stringing machine is a thing that pays for itself. When you start breaking a string once a week, it is cheaper just to buy a machine. It will pay itself off in a year or two. Totally justifiable ( unless you go straight for Baiardo ).
Tennis machine, on the other hand, would only pay for itself, if you win some kind of tournament, with actual prices.

Breaking strings weekly is a problem that I would want to know the cause for in addition to the ability to restring, especially if it’s in practice or matches with people and not machines.

Yes. I have both machines because you are correct in thinking that strings will break more frequently when practicing with a ball machine.

I usually have 3 of the same racquets, and I string one racquet with poly, so the strings last longer, and use that racquet only for the ball machine. I string my other racquets with hybrid strings that I like to use when playing with other people.

Depends on your racket and technique. With a max 200g (flexible, 85sq in, 18x20) you're not very likely to break the strings that often. With a rigid, 14x18 racket you might need to string every other practice session. I've got both, but the stringing machine came first and it paid for itself within two years. Even if you don't break strings, they go dead and you lose accuracy and feel. The ball machine came 12 years later. It has not had much impact on my stringing frequency.

I own both. The ball machine gets very little use nowadays. When i started playing i used it much more. My stringing machine i use about every 2 weeks. (I only string for myself).

I bought a small stringing machine (klippermate), whish I bought a bigger one! (out grew it over time, but enjoyed every minute of it)
I bought a big ball machine (sam-p1), whish I bought a smaller one! (portable! is the key here, no 300 ball capacity needed!!)

Do you guys think the OP is still deliberating on purchasing a stringer 13 years later?

LMFAO!! I didnt even see the date! I always wonder why people reply to posts that have been dead for years...now i know. Lol

What makes this really strange is that the first reply to this post actually came THIRTEEN YEARS LATER.
