I have a racket I use for hitting w/ the ball machine and string it every couple months..that way I don't abuse my 2 match rackets..
Interesting point. I'm new to the world of ball machines (having obtained one a couple of months ago). Seems like a good approach to have one racquet to take the bulk of the heavy hitting.
And I could see justifying using a more durable string for the ball machine racquet, unless you were a real stickler for keeping things as consistent as possible (and keeping all the racquets all strung the same, or nearly so).
So that means you use three matching racquets? Just curious if that's part of the equation. And the strings? Same or different?
